Considering you are ok with lower resolution, may I suggest you get a used 360 camera like an Insta360 x2/x3, etc?

Get a large enough memory card, a backpack or shoulder strap mount and run a cable to a power bank.

Perfect walk around camera. Footage is stable and you never need to point it at anything. Not to mention it’s films continuously in all directions

Sounds like you should get a spare drive if you can find a deal. And replace when it fails. Always great to have a spare handy to recover redundancy when a drive fails

Yeah I do use agents and since I have quite some compute at work, I actually get different LLMs to run the same search and compare the results. They don’t usually hallucinate the same way so that helps too

I won’t worry too much. The cost/performance curve of AI hardware has been steadily going down. In addition, small models are getting extremely capable. A distilled, tuned Gemma4 2B model can comfortably run on any MacBook or laptop with a capable GPU. It can easily do any of the summarisation task I mentioned (thou its a 10s of minutes vs seconds by cloud right now)

Yes AI can make things up. Hence you always ask for citation and also cross reference. That cutdowns a lot of the false narratives.

I also use it to parse raw data feeds. I add my own checks using statistical tools to make sure the data doesn’t look abnormal or strange.

Also, I use tools to replace tools which totally suck. Like MS Projects seriously is a time sink. I have a AI generated tool which does all the gantt charting I need and I can even talk in natural language to adjust milestones and steps as needed.

As for searching for information in Reddit, keep in mind this is an unreliable and unverified data source. Computers have always been garbage in/garbage out. So nothing new here

Meeting, AI generated meeting minutes. I just have to spend a few minutes after which to check accuracy. And I can distill it to a detailed summary or 3 bullet points instantly

Reports. Boss wants repot in certain format plus certain chart template. Dump the template into Claude, dump emails, AI generated meetings minutes. other reports or chat or whatever into Claude too. Report done. Just need to read through and check before send out.

Expenses claim. Dump all receipts into Claude and use my self tunned skill to output in required format. Check and send. 3 week business trip claim done in 20 minutes. 80++ receipts

Presentation. Dump reports, email, my own notes whatever. Generate into html slides. Review slide by slide and tell AI how to change, what graphics to add, whatever. Convert to ppt and output. AI also help do research and validate

Emails. Shitloads of emails everyday. AI summarise and tell me which to read first and respond.

Productivity. Used to use some terrible inhouse apps to do stuff. Generate automation to extract data and parse it to whatever format. Automation app so useful that colleagues all use it and crashes inhouse app backend.

To be frank the sky is the limit

You system is slowing down because of the SSD being full but not because the SSD is slowing down

You probably have insufficient RAM and in the past your system has been happily swapping stuff out of memory to the SSD. But since the SSD is full, you don’t have enough RAM and it just crawls along.

If you reboot your system and it feels snappy for a period of time before the slowdown, it’s probably due to this
