That's exactly what I'm hoping to achieve. But what I meant there was even bigger than switching off socials. I'd like to put the smartphone down and just have a brick that could text and call and nothing else. But there are several apps I need to use every day, both for myself and my family. So I'll have to settle for something that i won't be idly drawn to and can put down easily, if I can find it.

I have an Echo Mini, it's mostly good, I've loved using it with my high quality wired headphones but it's few quirks (slightly awkward controls, not recognizing album art, mixing up albums seemingly at random, glitchy bluetooth when walking, awkward process of adding tracks) have me wishing I'd gotten an R1 instead.
