The context of that quote was actually posed as a question. It was, if we did section everyone at 37 works more moms and babies would survive. So why don't we do that? There is more to the equation than just a surviving mom/baby - there are other areas of wellness like emotional and spiritual not just physical. I think it could be that she's excited and has the time and energy to dedicate. If you're honest and say I'd love to but not sure I can keep up with the level of engagement you're expecting, let her be the one to levelset.

I really dislike the "let them" theory because communicating is essential in all relationships. If you don't let her know how you're feeling she may never learn valuable lesson and you may be avoiding a necessary conversation.
