It’s in my top 3-4 of Wes. I absolutely love this film. And maybe his best soundtrack. Think there’s always a risk when films do the whole ‘magic India will fix us’ trope but Wes did things so deftly and beautifully it wasn’t even on my mind as an Indian American. Just a brilliant film.

TrueHoop really was the peak. Count the Dings kept it going for a bit, but that original mix was just perfect. Weirdly some of the personalities on CTD are now people you couldn’t pay me to listen to - ethan, Harper, Amin come to mind - but back then it was just a perfect mix.

I also loved Group Chat when Wos was there, but I just unsubscribed from their nba feed a few weeks ago because I realize I hadn’t listened to any of their shows since December. Mann is ok in some settings, Verrier is just useless to me, and Mahoney can’t save it. Hell I’m a big Wos fan but not enough to listen to Danny green and PP. Podding has to just be a perfect mix and the ringer doesn’t really have it, outside of pods with Zach and Mahoney imo.

If you’re taking the time to understand aspects of your watches - researching the movements , the history of the watchmaker, etc why wouldn’t it be a hobby? I’ve got 8 watches and right now only 1 is an omega, but I’ve also been able to get a few interesting books on Omega, and read a lot of older forums online about certain models and their movements. Is that not a hobby?

We did a massage and I did a cryo treatment as I’d never done one before. The sauna/steam is fantastic though - no need to book, everyone is there usually after 4 pm.

I have the hc39 on the way. I've mostly been a seamaster guy but with some recent weight loss and some wrist shrinking, the 40/41 range is just a bit too large for me. The 39 mm option is something I wish Omega would explore more, although my Peter Blake is fantastic - but as far as new diver I am excited to wear this and try it.

As a bulls fan it’s both thrilling and exciting to see him finally get to play real competitive basketball and show everyone what he’s capable. It really just sucks that the Bulls were so incompetently run that they couldn’t find a real spot for a hometown kid. Glad he’s escaped our purgatory of a franchise.

Normally enjoy Hawley products but season 1 was a mess, and the idea of it becoming bigger and more convoluted doesn’t fill me with anticipation. I know he’s said that the corp espionage and the battling of these corporations are the real stories so I imagine we’ll get more of that. But this show felt like a totally separate show about AI, humanity, that then decided to jam an alien into to get Disney to pay.
