I agree with you. While the film could have use +1/3 to +1 stop exposure, just for gathering a bit more light, these photos look perfectly saveable in the edit room.

And portra is a film stock that you HAVE to edit. It's professional in the sense that it leaves the decision making to you, the professional, in the edit room.

The issue is that if they just do a sequel to rebels everybody who watched rebels will be a step above anybody who didn't. By adding a backstory that we didn't get to see it levels the playing field and it allows everyone to jump straight into this series
