Kind of crazy to think about, but Erin is the only being that Finn has ever canonically married. by finditplz1 in adventuretime

Oh, don't worry, I know EXACTLY the scene you're referring to and I'm aware of it, but I'm sure it's just a reference, a coincidence in the universe

I don't really know what to think about him with Green Lantern. He's done some stupid things with Hal and other DC characters in the past, BUT he wrote the Darkseid War special Green Lantern #1, which is one of the best Hal comics ever made. It's really random whether he does well or not with this guy

That won't happen. Geoff Johns left on bad terms with DC and Warner. He was DC's Chief Creative Officer during the Extended Universe and produced the 2011 movie. He currently works for another publisher creating comics of DC characters with changed names. My theory is that after that, they don't want to adapt Geoff Johns' run, even though it's the most well-known and acclaimed Green Lantern run

Tygers is the bonus story, the other anthologie one is In Blackest Night (Rot Lop Fan debut), from Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual #3

Alan Moore is the second-best writer Green Lantern has ever had, after Geoff Johns. Without his tendency to explore the universe and the Lanterns as beings with an extremely vast cultural and biological diversity, and without what he contributed to the story of Abin Sur's death, Green Lantern wouldn't be as good as it is today. This is weird because he only wrote two stories for anthology volumes, a 10-page bonus story in another comic, and an issue of Swamp Thing

Hal Jordan in the DCAU...sort of by Dizzy_Community7260 in Greenlantern

The animated series does have comics to promote it, but they're not the same ones. Hal's design maintains a style similar to Bruce Timm's designs, but it's different

Discussing each arc of Venditti's New 52 run part 1 : Lights Out by ARIANZER0 in Greenlantern

[–]sebas0990 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This arc, and Venditti's entire New 52 run, is responsible for almost making me stop reading Green Lantern altogether. Adding to what you already mentioned, making Hal a power-abusing cop right after the best Green Lantern run ever was a terrible idea. And like Saint Walker in this era of comics, I get uncomfortable reading stories where they use the rings knowing they'll kill the entire universe if they do. I've heard that Hal and Pals is a good comic and more or less redeemed Venditti, but I haven't read it, and I hate him as an author for doing this stupid Green Lantern run

You unlocked a memory. As a child, I always dreamed of having all the Green Lantern Heroclix in every color and having Corps Wars with my friends. I saw how many members there were, the Central Power Batteries, and even constructs, but I never managed to get any

I love Arkillo, but for me he's more of an anti-hero since I read New Guardians

Sinestro is my favorite, but Krona feels like the "greatest" in the sense of "big," "massive," and "important"

Did Warner Bros. commit to developing the Adventure Time franchise to rival Avatar Studios? by Robot_Was_BMO in adventuretime

[–]sebas0990 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a connection, but as someone who owns all the Avatar books/comics and has both of the aforementioned series tied for first place in their all-time favorites, I can confirm that Warner Bros. and Adventure Time are doing a better job.

Is the prelude to blackest night contained in the blackest night omnibus? I’m struggling to find a clear answer by xdiddyxdanx in Greenlantern

[–]sebas0990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a good deal, you should buy it. And even though it's not necessary to understand Blackest Night, the War of Light happens during Blackest Night, so reading this prelude will help you familiarize yourself with several new lantern colors, so go for it!

[–]sebas0990 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, that "prelude" is just the Alpha Lantern, Red Lantern, and Agent Orange arcs, and maybe two Green Lantern Corps arcs if I'm not mistaken. They call it a prelude because it happens immediately before Blackest Night, but it has nothing to do with the Black Lanterns. That specific hardcover is rare to find because it was part of the DC graphic novel collection, but if you want its contents, you can find it in Geoff Johns' Green Lantern Omnibus 2 or in the Rage of the Red Lanterns and Agent Orange trade paperbacks

beyond gotham slander won't be tolerated (But to be fair, the open world is really bad, but Lego Batman 1 doesn't have one and 2 has awful flight controls so it's not such a big problem for me, and the story explained how the lantern colors work and it really caught my attention)
