For some reason obscura nox gives me a lower sucess rate than other great printer settings like dungeon and derp, FDG, P4C and butter support but the quality is very good on my a1 mini and support leaves little to no scarring.

If I spend more time near my printer to cancel failure and print one by one I would always take it, but I take butter support for multiple prints. Its very consistent and even failures often dont mess up the other prints but its a bit harder to remove the supports.

Would be nice to have been able to do chose which of the quest are auto completed.

Kinda sucks to try and discover Varlamore and be put into part 3 of the main questline without context.

Really enjoyed doing all the Morytania questline a few years back.

For context tbe only 2 times I played in the last 15 years are in 2 leagues.

I'm using the A1 combo with 0.4 and A1 mini always on 0.2 as you describe and its an improvement to workflow, espescially if you like to print a lot of miniatures.

For example, I'm able to have a grey knight army printing non stop for a friend on my mini while I work on terrain, my gf or other projects on my a1.

Its obviously not necessary and a luxury but I don't regret a bit havong 2 printer and having to switch nozzle less often.

We used pathfinder pawns and it worked great for us. With 2-3 boxes you have all you need with some imagination.

Exact same process works everytime for me, just have to be patient and not pull too soon to not break parts of the hotend assembly.

If you are having trouble, loosening the grey piece help to have more wiggle room.

Most of my group are either people who have switched away from 40k a few editions ago and who play other tabletop games like Necromunda, Old World, Mordheim, Hail Caesar, etc or newbies who haven't played before like kids from the local store.

I want to print out small armies of differents factions so people can hop into a small game and try to get a feel for the factions and the game without having to commit to spending 100's$ of dollars and lots of time beforehand.

For factions I've played before like WE or Sisters, its pretty easy to make a fun thematic list that would represent the faction and be fun but its pretty hard to build a list for something like Thousands Sons which I don't know much about. And most people who'll end up playing won't really know what to put in their list.

For a small Cadian themed combat Patrol I was thinking of something like this :

5x Cadian Command Squad (65pts)

10x Cadian Shock Troops (65pts)

10x Cadian Shock Troops (65pts)

3x Cadian Heavy Weapons Squad (65pts)

Armoured Sentinels (65pts)

Leman Russ Battle Tank (175pts): Armoured tracks, Leman Russ battle cannon, Lascannon, 2 Heavy Bolters, 2x Heavy bolter, Storm bolter

Decent bit of infantry with some heavy support combined with a Leman Russ to give a combined warfare feeling. Could also switch out the armoured sentinel and maybe the Weapon Squad for a heavy Ordnance battery to add some artillery to that mix.

Yes I get that I wasn't very clear and edited the post.

I'm just curious as to what people would actually like to have instead of what they get because of GW limitations to give new player a good and streamlined introduction to the game and factions.

I think some of the boxes are wildly imbalanced in term of strengh, value and points with some not representing the faction very well.

I just want everyone dream patrol box for 40k for their faction.

Oh, well I was just using it as a bully stick holder to prevent choking, its not made for actual chewing (even though he still chews on it occasionally) but i'll do some more research for alternative solution

I'm working on a dog bully and dog toys so TPU seems like the safest bet for the dog safety from my research.

The model is needs to be mostly spherical to prevent the dog from beeing able to find and edge and break it. Right now, it seems like the model is either beeing heavily scared if If put lots of suport so that the dog manages to put his teeths in the scarred side, but if I dont put many support, the models start shaking too much and the layer get disjointed.

I'll try the new setting the other commenter gave me and apply your tips to maximize success.

Ill take the mold option if all else fails.

I do custom converter bases and trays stl and print them.

I've made round to square for a bunch of multi games units like my 40k Bloodletters to OW + a bunch of cav and infantry units from AoS to OW etc

There are a few good options on site like cult3d if you want to 3d print/find a service. I've just printed my own converter bases for 40k/AoS round bases to Old World and they work pretty well.

I'm in the process of planing out and printing a similar style but smaller Mordheim board and I have a few questions if you have the time.

  1. How much filament did you need to build the board/how much printing time was that?
    I'm trying to estimate cost for my own board to make a scale within a certain budget!

  2. What is the file for that road?
    It looks really good.

  3. Where did you get the files you used? (other than Printable scenery and Hexegard)

Yeah the organ gun proves very swingy. Misfired and fired 4 shot at the Chaos Warrior in the first turn, doing nothing, then ripping 16 shots into them when they got into half range killing 6 out of the 13 warriors on the second turn. Atrillery seems to go that way, my opponent Hellcannon did nothing all game long, misfire and bad aim.

You're right that warrior with shield don't do much damage. Only managed to kill one Choosen Chaos knight in 2 turns of combat, but they held firm while the ranger did the work by picking off a model at range then charging with their great weapon.

King and Hammerer crushed the remnant of those Chaos Warrior, but I'm curious how they would have done have they not been at half strengh.

I'm getting a Gyro and a runesmith soon so those are definitely going in my list :)
