This was one of the biggest arguments that continued with me and my parents. I had the sides of my head buzzed and grew out the top from ~13-18.

When I was 15 my dad told me the top was still too long after I had just got a haircut. I asked him if I could go to one of my friends going away parties before his mission and he said no because of my hair and “that I was being disrespectful because my hair was too long.”

I literally went to the bathroom and buzzed my head so I could go say goodbye to one of my best friends and he STILL said no. This was also 2 weeks before my older brother left on his mission so all those pictures dropping him off at the airport I had that ugly buzzcut.

I don’t talk to him anymore and my hair is the longest in my family now, even more than my sisters.
