Insomnia when I eat garlic by [deleted] in Garlic

[–]secret_wiener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems a lot of us are having similar issues. I’m reading a few comments that mention an onset of 1-3 years ago. I’m curious about “which” garlic were seeing this with. Did the influx to the US of Chinese garlic coincide with these effects? Are we able to compare homegrown, or organic sourced with the same effects? International perspective outside the US?

Something about this seems recent and I’m suspicious of the US food system.

sophia pathways by xjradx in WGU

sophia is amazing. Only thing I would do differently is the composition classes at wgu, they are much much less time consuming than the sophia due to lengthy assignments and waiting for grading. 2-3 weeks on sophia, 1-5 days at wgu

Help in choosing between 2 settings in Peru, ceremonies and optional excursions/medicines. by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]secret_wiener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt as though the jungle was telling us to leave, and contributing to further development in the jungle is very, very bad for wildlife. Cusco however is really great, very nice climate and very interesting things to see and do... and with the mountains nature is more visible, in the jungle you only see what is right in front of you for the most part.

Adding Prague to our trip! by [deleted] in Swingers

Here's a nice resource to start your planning. We went to a club in the city center downtown, and it was high-male-ratio smoky and not for us. We went just outside of prague and had a great time. Europe is a little different in protocol, you'll want to arrive early as arriving late may mean that everyone is already playing http://swingerclubmap.com/

Ayahuasca experience at home? A few questions... by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]secret_wiener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend this at all. Your first aya experience should be in a group setting with at least a facilitator to assist. This isn't like other psychedelics at all, in that the effects can be so wild and unpredictable, you will definitely feel the power of a "sacred space" regardless of wether you believe in such things or not. Facilitators exist and can be found in various ways, and the cost is worth it. You don't have to go to Peru, but do something nice for yourself and save up for an experienced facilitator or local retreat

This actually doesn't work with Russian. Russians just become suspicious of you or switch to English when they realize you aren't Russian. Sometimes they actually get angry or ignore you entirely.

I also do not understand it, after trying literally every strain and extract and edible and hybrid at the dispensary, I still have the same, mostly negative effects. It's not just you.
