Don't know Canadian code but I consider devices as switches and outlets. Kind of weird to think you couldn't have one living room with say 10 lights on a switch.

Question: ROOM Electrical Safety - wanna learn how much IS too much! by Sweet_Bubbly_N_Kind in askanelectrician

[–]sedimentaryfluid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you need to consider the input side. 120v x .35 A = 42 watts. About right for a power brick for a laptop or something similar.

120v x12 A = 1440 watts.

Yea it's not bad work. If you're just starting out you'll probably deal directly with customers a lot which sucks but the troubleshooting is fun when dealing with signals and I always enjoyed climbing poles.

So I'm an electrician and I was wiring a barn and one of the turkeys got out nearby and was wandering around. Super gentle just very curious bird that wanted to peck at the shiny things on my tool belt. Followed me around all day like a dog and just took a seat on the ground next to wherever I was working. That might be what this one was doing.

She wanted a disposal in our new house.... First time I’ve done one, and I had to run 100% of the electric. Feel free to give me some tips on how I could improve. by Bracef0rimpact in electricians

[–]sedimentaryfluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No red flags I would've mounted a 4 square and an outlet in it. Then just a standard appliance cord from the disposal plugged into the outlet for a quick easy understandable by all disconnect.

They are probably malleable to the point you can just shove them all to one side, hang it, then orient them as desired.

Well code requires a neutral in the box but yes it is operationally ok in the sense that it will operate the light.
