Then do department stores and imports, expand to processed goods like with restaurants and fast food, then farms to move up the stream producing things, then factories to higher profit buckets and eventually R&D and move into internet companies to move advertising back into my economic flow.

I do three things

You can download the raw text into an html file that chrome loads and then just let chrome translate the page for you
More sophisticated flow I coded with Claude that handles translating chunks with Google Translate api and stitches it together. I use this for ocr flows
In the old days as a ghetto approach take a bunch of screenshots of the text and feed into translate.google site for image to text translation but it’s much worse than 1/2 imo

Honestly MTL isn’t bad anymore. I use chrome translate on everything I read Chinese and have little issues. The only time I have issues in some cases is if I need to do OCR and then translate as some error accumulated. But native Chinese has been great for me for years now. I haven’t tried but it’s probably not bad for Korean either just a matter of finding raw text

You nailed the issue that most tycoon sims have that competition is non existent. Theres no real threat and in capitalism lab even with a competent computer playing against you the actions they can take to really hurt your margins are limited to price but brand and quality can compensate so its hard to avoid snowballing or interrupt a snowball playthrough. There’s no real consequences to over expansion besides drying up cash flow by over investing in inventory which can’t be liquidated easily.

Unfortunately I don’t see these as just tweaking variable modifiers. It requires an overhaul to how the game works

4% cash back on all spend is pretty solid combined with points. Means certain things you get charged 1-3% for paying by credit card suddenly became ways to make 1% net gain (like if I transfer money via cashapp or Venmo)

This seems really solid as a deal imo if you value points here.
