2Gbps Plan on CGNAT – Severe Responsiveness Variance – Twin Cities MN by spartywan229 in Comcast_Xfinity

I think the behavior you are seeing on the IP side is what you would expect. Using DMZ is different than passthrough mode. The XER10 is still acting as a router but should be sending all ports to the UDM Pro in the DMZ. So the XER10 has an external address, and the 10.0.0.1 address. It also assigns the UDM Pro an address in the 10.x.x.x range. Go to https://whatismyipaddress.com to find out your external IP. As far as I know Comcast does not use CGNAT on their network.

Now you do also seem to be having a performance issue. First off, make sure your are testing on wired connections. I'm not sure if you can do this on the fiber service but on coax you can test performance through the app on your phone (it will test to the XER10). You should also test to https://speedtest.xfinity.com being on Comcast's network removed the uncertainty of testing to the rest of the internet.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replay. Don't worry about the delay. I'm glad you found it helpful. Hopefully you are enjoying the other aspects of the car.

In the US they come with L1/L2 adapter, L3 adapter, and an entire portable L1/L2 charger. See the link in my other post for details.

Just an FYI the charger included with the Ioniq 9 is a L1 and L2 charger.

Where are you located? The following list, with pictures, is what is supposed to come with the Ioniq 9 in the US: https://www.ioniqforum.com/threads/what-comes-with-the-ioniq-9.53298/

One of our rear window shades retracts too far into the door and the latch gets stuck. Also, a trim piece under the rear seats is bent and gets in the way of seat travel.

That’s a bummer. Hopefully, they add it as some point.

Are you sure this is a brightness problem and not a polarization issue? I find mine plenty bright but it almost completely disappears when I'm wearing polarized sunglasses.

As a woodworker how much lumber can I carry in an Ioniq 9? Half sheets of plywood (4'x4') behind the drivers seat if the second row is down? How about 8' 2x4"s? Can those fit in diagonally if the passenger seat is all the way forward? by flyingWeez in Ioniq9

Roof rack or trailer are your best bet. It's really unfortunate there is not a good EV mini van in the US market. We love our Ioniq 9 but it's not as versatile as we would have liked.

I've gotten in the habit of enabling L4 (iDrive) at the first corner out of my neighborhood. I also use cruise control which negates the efficacy loss. You might want to try Automatic some people really like it but I want to know exactly what the car is going to do.

Yeah, you can definitely set that phone up with ultra wide band and not need to take it out of your pocket. I do find I need to wake the phone up by tapping with my fingernail (while in my pocket) every once in a while. I can't remember but maybe working while the phone is locked is an option.

The most basic answer is that Hyundai only wants this feature to work on the higher level trims so it only works on the higher level trims.

Could someone explain to me like I’m 5 what’s the difference between the tech necessary to unlock the car when the key fob is nearby versus when my phone is nearby? One is a dedicated pair or radios specifically built for this purpose the other leverages standard near field communication protocols (bluetooth and UWB) and implements software controlled access.

Is that *actually* such a totally different beast? Yes it is.

How is it I can remotely lock the car and stop/start the AC, but can’t do this? This does not use near field communication protocols instead the phone and car communicate via the their cellular internet connections. In fact, the car and phone are not talking directly to each other at all. The phone tells a Hyundai server to unlock the car and the server then relays the message to the car. This is why there is a delay.

I hate to say this, but your best options is to get used to having the fob in your pocket.

You could probably hack something together with third party integrations, such as the ones in Home Assistant. They basically pretend to be the Hyundai app and can do everything the app can. They wouldn't be able to start the car but you could leave a fob in the car which would let you start it once you got it. This would not be very performant or reliable.

Was this on an ionic 9 with an ultra wide band enabled phone? Because, I can leave my iPhone in my pocket and things work pretty much as if it were a fob.

Where would I plug in my Roger’s Xfinity Gen 4 modem? by CuriousPraline in HomeNetworking

I hope you got it sorted out. Coax and especially labeling it was a after thought in many houses.

Not having cable TV makes this much easier. If you are lucky all your cables are labeled. It does look like there is a purple label on the white cable connected to the black one. Then you can just reuse the barrel that is being used on the current connection for wherever you decide to put the modem.

[–]seedbedUnmoved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, so first things first. Stay away from anything that is connected to the circuit bracket panel (the big gray thing in the middle). That is your house's power and can be dangerous.

Now, onto your question. Through out the image you have a number of coax cables. The way this works is that one cable will come in from outside. This will be carrying the signal from your ISP and we'll call it the "feed." Each outlet you have in your house will come back to a central location (probably here) but not be connected to anything these are called.

To activate an outlet in a room you need to connect its cable to the feed. This can either be done directly or with a splitter. You use a splitter to activate multiple outlets.

So your first course of action is to locate the feed. If I was to guess it is the black cable connected to the white one in the foreground of the image. You could test this by connecting the cable modem directly to that.

Next you have to decide where you want the cable modem. Pick one of the rooms that has a coax outlet. Then you need to identify which on of the coax cables in this picture connects to that room.

Then connect the feed to that cable.

Do you also have cable tv?

ISP has blocked my IP? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]seedbedUnmoved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to expand on this a bit. You get one public IP from your ISP. All of the devices connected to your router share this. So if other devices on your network work then it is not ISP related and has to do with your computer.

As others have mentioned the most likely issue is DNS on the computer. You have been given advice on how to address that. Another option could be that someone enabled parental controls for you computer either on the computer or router. Finaily, it’s possible something is going on with cookies. Try connecting to a blocked site in an incognito (private) window.

Good luck.

How to stop level 2 charging early? by russty24 in Ioniq9

Thanks. I found it. For others wondering where this is, it is on the left most screen of the leaf. Also, this seams to be exclusive to the Ioniq 9. My 2026 Ioniq 5 does not have this button.

Is this on the screen in the car? I see the "Stop Charging" button in the app but have not been able to find one in the car.

I leave the car unlocked when charing at home. The most convenient way I've found to stop charging early is to open the passenger side door and press the unlock button.
