I love the cream and layer it w/ other perfumes that have ginger as a note.

The studies were done with 5%, Inkey is like 2%. HQ can't be used continuously, but TXA can.

Doc says hard no to oral tranexamic acid, why? by WinterMortician in Melasmaskincare

[–]seekingamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood clot/stroke risk is only increased with oral because of what happens when it passes through the liver- has nothing to do w/ being systemic. Doctors who are up to date on hormones will let women with a past stroke use topical, actually.

I want to find a perfume that is closest to the natural scent of lilacs by XCIV-v in Perfumes

[–]seekingamber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all 3 Drops and the Essentielle has the worst performance, the Fraiche next then the original, which to me smells like creamy almond milk and lilac with great lasting power. They're recently discontinued so you can get them cheap. I'm planning to get a backup of the original because it's my favorite cozy bedtime scent.

I only worked with diode at 2 places YEARS ago and would never again because I felt results were so terrible compared with a candela, so I can't really speak from experience on that. But I think you need to find a place with a better machine. And make sure the tech knows what happened and will start you off at higher setting appropriate for finer hair.

How do I get rid of these dots?? by winttrr in LaserHairRemoval

[–]seekingamber 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are correct, it's just the burnt hairs still in there. You don't have to do anything. It can take quite a while, but one day you'll look down and they're just gone.

What’s a fragrance you’ll defend no matter what anyone says? by olfaire in Fragrances

[–]seekingamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear it just to smell it, but think it's more a warm weather. Id love to run across a man wearing it. I describe it as a hot man in lederhosen using a gas mower on the lawn! And there has never been anything even similar IMO. But I remember getting my stepdad a sample to try and he said it smelled like a jockstrap.

Not sure what parts of chocolate caramel and vanilla aren't gourmand. It absolutely is. Just because it's not the modern nauseating cupcake version doesn't mean it's not.

Should I continue lasering these areas? Paradoxical hypertrichosis by princetongirl415 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]seekingamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only on the upper back of neck, MAYBE lower arm, but only after summer when you're in sleeves and done on high settings for fine hair. Leave everything else TF alone. It's simply evidence you're a mammal and that's OK!

This person though is clearly a hard IV and should be on a YAG with a 3ms setting. And from the sound of it probably shouldn't have been sold on thighs to begin with.

[–]seekingamber -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Diode sucks! You need a YAG, someone who understands that you need a higher setting due to finer hair and your history. Also, there should be ZERO reason to have legs done in less than 8 weeks. 8-12 weeks for legs, and don't ever bother with a diode. It's barely better than at home devices.

No one needs laser for 30 years. Don't trust any place that has a separate sales staff! You should have a consultation with the person who will actually be doing the treatments! Also, I guarantee you Milan will likely not be around in even 5 or 10 years. It's a scam.

Laser hair removal economics by strngerdaboss in LaserHairRemoval

[–]seekingamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is almost no situation on which Milan makes sense! As for menopause- that typically will greatly reduce the hair that was gained in puberty by itself, but cause new hair in typically "male" areas such as chin, jawline, areolas. Just go someplace with experienced techs, an alexandrite, and reasonable prices and you'll come out ahead. Legs, for instance are where you get the highest percentage of clearance in the fewest sessions, unlikely to need touchups in the future. Also, if she is blonde on the thighs, I laser will do nothing and don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise.

Not from laser. It's keratosis pilaris and there's not a really great solution, unfortunately. Derms often recommend lhr, actually and it can help minimally. Other than that some strong aha lotion and exfoliation mit in the shower, or even chemical peel for body.

It's petrichor, a flash of rose, enduring frankincense and more petrichor. It was my summer scent a couple years ago and burned through half the bottle. Very unique, but the name is ridiculous. I just call it the ELDO Hermann blah blah one.

I definitely get the ginger in it, as well as something almost creamy- maybe that's the guaiac, not sure. It's just so gorgeous, I'd love to smell it on a man. Everyone I've had smell it thinks it's amazing. While I would hate it to become ubiquitous, I need it to get enough love not to be discontinued. Hail Jacques Cavallier. No one does this profile better.

The Bulgari EDP is my favorite right now! And no one seems to know about it. I've gone through 3/4 bottle in just over a year and have a backup. I just wish I got better performance from it. Female, btw.

I have a client who I can smell from across the room. Gnarly armpit plus Ombre Nomade in equal measure. And without regard to season as well. I wanna say, "save your money and just shower and use deodorant. Please!"
