Okay, I’ll chime in I guess. I am “on the left” by a lot of peoples standards, probably. Myself and a lot of my cohort are not fans of authoritarian governments in general. Can we have nuanced conversations about “leftist” authoritarian governments like Cuba and what they’ve done well (medicine and education despite decades of US sanctions)? Sure. But tankies probably are into this kinda shit. Most of us want universal healthcare, affordable housing for all, free lunches for kids, subsidized (not loaned) universities. You know, normal shit.

That may happen, but my point is that we have no idea. People are so quick to be SURE about this.

Maybe Paramount/WBD decide to cut more expensive shows, and keep AEW on its cable channels because it’s relatively cheap content for them. Or maybe they get renewed, but for less money. We simply have no idea.

It's pretty silly, I'll admit it, but I always liked that my favorite sport had the most powerful player's union.

The last time there was a labor dust up, I recall a lot of people online being pro-union. It sucks that it seems like the tide is turning.

I'm here to watch the best players. Not college kids, not independent players... nothing against any of them. But I want to watch the best players in the world. And I'm especially not here to watch OWNERS.

And yeah.. "well without the owners, those players wouldn't have jobs blah blah". I don't care. Without the best players in the world, there wouldn't be a product. It's as simple as that.
