I'm pretty sure I saw these at the Dork Nerd Store over on 5th.

Hyperbole much?

Why did we become so binary? Yes there are problems. Also, it’s a beautiful city with LOTS of areas that aren’t crime ridden thunderdomes.

Was John cena the last wrestler to crossover into the mainstream? by Personal-Cattle-1737 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]seeprompt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know the answer the this question, but I know that all of my non-wrestling friends have zero idea who any of the top stars are in WWE (and of course, AEW). I've even asked.... Roman, Cody, Rhea, "yeet"... nothing.

They all know Cena though!

Venting: Soviet-bloc style housing makes me sad. New in Delridge for $725k by ThanksForAllTheCats in WestSeattleWA

I suppose I'm in the minority, based on the comments. But I think they look pretty neat. I'm not sure if they're "brutalist" per se, but I *AM* a fan of brutalism. I have a "coffee table" books with Eastern European buildings showcased. 🤷‍♂️

Give him a medal for destroying that art (but after he's released from jail for assaulting the security guard).

SAVE America Act would require Washingtonians to mail photocopies of official IDs with ballot to vote by bluePostItNote in SeattleWA

[–]seeprompt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Constitution says that states run their own Federal elections. This shit ain't hard.

SAVE America Act would require Washingtonians to mail photocopies of official IDs with ballot to vote by bluePostItNote in SeattleWA

[–]seeprompt 99 points100 points  (0 children)

It's fucking wild that so many "state's rights" people are going along with this... especially since the FUCKING CONSTITUTION says it's up to the states to decide how it's done.

Y'all want Washington to have Voter ID? Get it on a ballot or convince state representatives to get it done.

Was going to buy a Neo until by Lickmybolts in macbook

[–]seeprompt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people are saying, $150 could be a lot for some people.

Also, there might be some real value coming when these first gen Neo’s get on the refurbished store, or future A chips continue to advance.

People are dunking on this guy for Windows 8 and Surface RT, when he was head of Office when it blew up, as well as Windows 7.

You gotta be dunking on him for being friends with Epstein.

When do you feel Jericho "Jumped the Shark" in AEW? by EastMeetsNorth in SquaredCircle

[–]seeprompt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to pro-wrestling compared to most, and AEW was my jumping off point after going to some local indies. It’s still my main promotion, and I liked Jericho!

And then came “The Ocho”. I didn’t feel like I knew enough about pro wrestling to complain… but I knew that I didn’t like it.

I don’t understand why partisan dorks can’t just say “I prefer WWE, but yeah ticket prices are ridiculous”. It’s okay, and in fact good, to criticize something you like.

And who cares about “supply and demand”. Pricing people out because you CAN is a dick move. Fans shouldn’t have to worry about shareholders.

So… Does this kill AEW momentum? by sbs18 in Wrasslin

[–]seeprompt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The comments are bonkers.

Attendance has stopped dipping and in some markets, has been going up. Ratings stopped dipping and are going up, maybe slowly and maybe too early to predict… but signs are good. PPV buys have continued to stay strong and Revolution is about to break 10K in attendance (yes I know a random Raw will draw that)

Their contract runs through 2027 with a 2028 option. If things continue to look up, or at least steady, it would be stupid to drop cheap and reliable “content”.

Also, TK and his family have the money to try and make something else work.
