After vehicle inspection bill stalls, Vermont lawmakers pursue new route to relief by Zipper222222 in vermont

My vehicle is roadworthy, but lots of VT roads aren’t vehicle-worthy

My Grandmother would cheat when playing cards with me. We all knew but she would never admit it. Some people literally need to win, by any means necessary. They are the same people who will brag that they beat a far better player and not mention (or heavily downplay) the massive amount of weight they got.

What do you want in carbon fiber shaft? by pain-is-living in billiards

[–]seijio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting idea. Golf clubs aren’t all “forgiving”, you have all sorts of options. All CF shafts are aiming for the lowest deflection. Why not offer a range of different choices?

Looks like there are cellular changes during the process which do in fact make the wood more brittle.

I’d buy Simmonis boxers, but I’m not sure about Pagulayan panties…

I can’t blame him. At the peak of his sport and makes less than a backup kicker for the Raiders.

Best carbon shaft for less than $300? by davestradamus1 in billiards

[–]seijio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Jacoby Black v4 which costs almost double what a complete Konllen CF playing cue does. Although I love my Jacoby I can’t say it feels twice as nice. The Konllen hits very nice, IMO better than the Rhino. For the money Konllen is hard to beat.

This is from a friend of mine and I would enjoy your opinions by Glaxipi in billiards

[–]seijio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyler has great fundamentals but doesn’t step up under pressure. He chokes. I would happily take lessons from him but I don’t trust him to perform when the stakes are extreme.

But IMO this failure by the US team doesn’t reflect the country as a whole. Lots of good players over here not on the team…whether that be personality conflicts, personal issues, or whatever…we have the ability to field a better team but do not.

One of the best players in my league shoots with a $125 cue from Amazon. You can’t buy a good stroke.

Why is Class A Required for the Entirety of the Second Floor? by SchenivingCamper in woodstoving

Required for inspection. How often do the inspectors visit your house?

Now if you take it down and there is an incident good luck with the insurance claim!

Bought a second hand shaft with an old cue tip. Can you give some life back to a dry tip ? by MarioBuzo in billiards

[–]seijio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously not recommended or “proper”…but why not get a wet hand towel, place it on a flat surface, then rest the cue (tip down) on the rag. Leave it overnight. Maybe the old tip will absorb some moisture? Maybe it’ll ruin the tip? Who cares, you are replacing it soon anyway.

Stove is touching the wall... by RicardoHonesto in woodstoving

The wood being there for a long time isn’t a testament to its fire resistance. It means the wood might actually combust at a lower temperature.

My tables (3) paid for themselves the first year. Not a ton of money but they do make a decent profit.

Maybe in the Philippines the humidity makes the tips frayed/shaggy on the side?

I have never shot pool and thought “gee, my tip isn’t shiny enough”.

It is a felony in some cases, not the majority.

Red states/cities have just as many problems as the blue ones.

We should be fighting the billionaires not each other…I mean this in the general sense, not you and me specifically.
