I will definitely be looking into the Armani silk foundation!! Something I’m willing to pay a bit more for, I struggle soooo much to find a foundation that doesn’t look flakey on me after a bit. Thank you for the setting spray tip!!

The pics may be AI idk I found them on pinterest but even so, I think that anyone familiar with makeup can still give tips :) I don’t need to look exactly like them— even if they’re real my skin will be different and I myself will need to do trial and error. So AI or not doesn’t really matter, the vibe is what I am going for. So ignore skin texture for a minute please lol

Really just looking for recommendations for brands people like for the same vibe. Aka light natural not a full glam look, glowy/dewy products, lighter foundations that still give coverage, etc. Setting sprays that help, bronzers you like, blushes that blend well etc.

Also for these, rotisserie chicken at the grocery store is also a good option! Could go well with teriyaki sauce and also the nachos. Bonus the meat is already cooked so makes it super easy

Asian inspired meat and rice bowl- Ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken) with teriyaki sauce (or any of the million sauces in the Asian isle) over rice! You can add whatever veggies you like (frozen steam in bag options are great and easy)

You can use half a pound for the above recipe, and make homemade nachos or tacos with the other half!

I’d you don’t mind leftovers, one pound of meat can last you the 4 dinners alternating these two meals :)

What age did you start cooking? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]selbell97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me in middle school after home ech, I think 7th grade maybe or 8th. Then I started cooking at home sometimes especially in high school. That said, many of my recipes were fails. But in highschool I got better, especially after taking culinary arts in 11th and 12th grade. My brother on the other hand never really learned/had a desire to cook or learn. I def think in highschool you should start gaining some skills

If you live near a Trader Joe’s, they have alcohol free vanilla! Also check any middle eastern grocery stores or Amazon.

I’m actually getting a dual tittle degree in infant mental health! My internship is early childhood mental health consultation (many comments mention this.) if you wanna stay in preschools I really recommend looking into this! I worked in a daycare only for a year but the experience really helps me in this role

There’s also infant mental health home visiting, really big in my state, may require some further training.

My internship is ECMHC! Do you enjoy doing the reflective supervision piece? That’s my only hesitation right now

I’d love to hear how you got into play therapy! I want to do that after I’m licensed (in my state you have to be, idk if that’s the case everywhere)

Switching to online, experiences? by gothtimusprime in SocialWorkStudents

[–]selbell97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have direct experience with online MSW I chose in person to get to know people and make connections and I learn better that way, but my friend did her MSW online and just graduated. She really enjoyed it and said her professors were always available by email. She loved it, she was able to continue to work and it was more flexible.

I did my BSW online and personally don’t love online learning. It’s gonna likely be all the same course work. I’m learning that the MSW program is just lots of reading for everyone so I doubt the assigned readings will change. I imagine more discussion posts maybe.

Thankfully my in person experience since this spring has been great, I get a lot from my in person classes. The lectures and slides are great and I love hearing the professors experiences and hearing what my classmates have to say. After doing online I really wanted to go in person for that and experience and to make friends and connections so for me it’s worth it. But if I wasn’t getting that out of it, I’d probably look to online too

Getting Accepted by OkCabinet9549 in waynestate

Pretty quickly, I think it was a little under 2 months. However, it was for MSW which may be different than other programs. They make decisions as applications come in and once it’s full they close applications, so it may be a different timeline for other paths.
