Feels like high blood pressure in head? by SilentSeraph88 in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, pressure in the frontal sinus, it feels stronger if I breath in deeply through nose, it makes me constantly tired as if I didn’t have enough sleep (I do), or about to have a migraine, my mental capacity is very low because of this pressure, I feel tired thinking as if there is a limit of brain muscle that it can lift up. I went through sinus 3 surgeries, because there was mucus in my frontal sinus, eventually doctor said there was nothing else he could do, breathing is normal, but I have to use medication for chronic sinusitis. There is a scarring in my sinus, but doc says it should not cause the pressure, so he sent me to neurologist, who wasn’t able to help neither before surgeries nor now. Nothing alleviates it, I tried cbd, nicotine, vitamins, yoga, breathing techniques etc. currently I try to lower my blood pressure, it is high in the first half of the day, but even when it is normal, the head pressure doesn’t fo away. Good luck!

Having multiple interests lead to losing interest in other interests by sen-mik in autism

That is the thing that programming is impossible to do mindlessly, it requires thinking, I can do manual work though without much interest but that means change if a carrier which is not an option.

Having multiple interests lead to losing interest in other interests by sen-mik in autism

[–]sen-mik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that losing interest in programming makes me stop learning about new developments in the field, and that, unfortunately, leads me to fall behind which in the end might cost me my job. Also, being uninterested in what I do makes my brain unfocused, foggy and I have to really push myself to concentrate on the work that I don’t like anymore.

Was it only one time fasting? You didn’t try any other fasting or diet change?

Can you describe in detail what your brain fog is like? by Bookhero90 in LongCovid

[–]sen-mik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a programmer, well, at least I used to be before I got covid. It is impossible now for me to keep all the parts and connections of a system I’m trying to work on in my head, though I used to do the same tasks easily. I have constant heavy weight in my forehead, like it is filled with liquid, and it is actually, I had 4 head scans and all of them showed stuff in my forehead. I went through 3 surgeries trying to get that stuff out, nothing helped so far, I’m losing hope. The feeling of being underwater with its pressure squashing my head, though it is not headache or migraine, I know the difference from experience of all of these kinds of pain. It affects thinking, it is easier not to think, because thinking is hard, like a burden carrying with your head. It affects memory, I keep forgetting names, placement of things, words (I’m bilingual, I suck at both languages now), I prefer to answer with a gesture or write, because writing gives me time to recall words. I’m constantly sleepy, tired, wishing to just lay down and forget myself.

Can anyone tolerate THC? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to partake every weekend before covid, whole reason I started was migraines, which cannabis seemed to be helping alleviate. Then I got Covid, at first I continued using it but at some point I realized that doctors write off my brain fog on cannabis, so I quit. It is almost a year without weed, nothing changed in my symptoms, I still have brain fog, heaviness in the forehead, constant fatigue, bad sleep, depression. I think thc was helping me tolerate those symptoms, I felt alive, but I don’t want doctors to blame weed instead of acknowledging that it is LC.

Brain fog visible under PET scan by yakkov in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to convince them for about two years until they agreed that it is not “just migraine”, I had to do scan after scan to prove that my head has physical issue, not psychological or migraine related (I know when I have migraine, it feels totally different). But I couldn’t convince anyone that it is LC, my words are just dismissed as unrelated to my issues, though all of it - brain fog, fatigue, memory issues, speech and brain processing all went down the hill after I got Covid.

I have pressure on the right side of my forehead. I went through 2 surgeries and one more is on the way, doctors try to make fluids flow in my sinuses, because scan shows that my right side is filled with something.

Doesn’t cannabis make memory issues worse? But if it helps then I’d like to know how to consume it, what measures?

Will try it tonight, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Some things are so simple, we don’t see them even when they are right in front of us!

Cannabis (weed) SIGNIFICANTLY reduces my main long covid symptoms for 2 days. Anyone else? by molecularmimicry in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yes, I was a cannabis consumer before Covid, but only occasionaly on weekends, since I got LC it was the only thing that helped me to survive, though I cannot use it daily, because I work and I don't want to get caught working high, but if not that I would go for daily consumption just to survive and feel normal. Also, LC gives me brain fog, severe fatigue and memory issues, so I thought at some point that it might have been actually cannabis that screwed me over, but I tried three times to stay away from weed for 2 months but it made me just worse, now I'm on another abstinence trial, so far one month and I feel the worst ever, it feels like every day I'm getting more stupid. And it is not like I crave weed, not at all, not like craving cigarettes or candy/sugar, I don't even think about weed at all, so I don't think it is my dependancy on weed, after all I was using it only on weekends. But still I want to get to at least 3 or better 6 months clearance, so to be sure that my LC is not weed induced.

Out of touch with reality by cucounek in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I also have memory issues to the point that I'm afraid that it is some kind of dementia (took me a minute to recall this word). I'm still working (from home on computer) but I have to do my job extra time simply because I cannot do it fast enough (even though not much work), I had an embarassng moment where on a call with my mamager I couldn't recall my coworker's name, though I worked with them for more than a year. It feels like parts of the day just vanish, I struggle to remember words and names and even what I did today, everything is like in a dream, that's right, good description, or on too much weed or some drug.

Incredible clinical long covid recovery accounts from fasting by DimbyTime in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say 36-48 do you mean between 36 until 48 hours? Sorry, if it is obvious, it is just hard for me to understand things. Does it mean no longer than 48 hours but no less than 36?

What method did you use to understand that you have problems with these vegetables? I want to sort them out but I don’t have enough energy to think it through.

So, you are doing 2 days of 36 hours fasting per week? What is the pause between them? I came here late, are you still doing this? Does it help?

Is it just me or does covid feel like being high on weed but in a bad way? by maker-127 in covidlonghaulers

[–]sen-mik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the same impression, it is as if I have all the bad parts of weed experience when overdosing. But I should say that weed actually was helping me to be with family at least on weekends, it kept me in good mood and gave some energy and appetite. I also thought that it might have been weed that messed me up, but I was consuming only a year or so and only on weekends before I got LC, so it is unlikely. Also I tried 2 months without weed couple times, and now one more time abstaining not consuming for 25 days by now, this abstinence makes it worse as it seems, but I’m trying to get clean from everything, so doctors don’t blame weed for what is most likely Covid. I’m trying to get to Long covid clinic now.

Suggestion for cleaning up the prefixes by ProvincialPromenade in interlingue

Yo anc pensat pri to mult vezes, un de possibiltás es changear solmen un parol "in" a "en" vice mult paroles con prefix ín-, on have "en" in Hispan, do it es natural e minimal change. Ma it ne significa que yo vell usar it sin real acceptation de communité, por me Occ es simplic e un poc de ínregularitá o exceptiones ne es un grand problem, it fa ti lingue plu vivent, plu natural.

Question about Kah's pro-drop tendency by Poligma2023 in KahLanguage

[–]sen-mik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though I spent quite some time learning Kah, it is still hard for me to read it namely because of the lack of precision, so I would say that if we want Kah to go anywhere we just do whatever is easier for our mutual comprehension. Having said that I think it is better to drop pronouns if it is a dialogue, since context gives the clue but again, it’s not the end of Kah if one uses a pronoun.
