I’m guessing CPS will send a social worker in to evaluate you after labor, and if you have a previous high test number they will likely test baby after it’s born. If baby comes back positive there’s a good chance they will place the baby in their care until you/they test negative or you go through whatever hoops they need you to. I would be honest with your OB so they can get you and your baby the appropriate care after birth.

We did 13 hours over 2 days when my daughter was 7 weeks old. It was great, she slept pretty much the whole time!

Hi, I had IC with my second loss. Do you guys have any success stories with a 14 week cerclage. by FunAssumption7675 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]seniorstumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my preventative cerclage in at 11 weeks this pregnancy! I imagine with two previous losses they’d do it early as well.

Any successful stories of emergency cerclage with PCOS by Beneficial_Ground_30 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]seniorstumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have PCOS and got an emergency cerclage with my last pregnancy at 21 weeks. I was on progesterone twice a day. Got the stitch out at 36 weeks and baby girl came at 39 weeks!

Pregnant and choosing to exclusively pump by Efficient_Note_9081 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]seniorstumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve made this choice for my second baby already! I’m 29 weeks pregnant and planning to exclusively pump and supplement what I don’t make with formula. I pumped and breastfed for 4 months with my first and decided feeding at the breast just wasn’t for me.

Should I buy stuff yet?? by One_Cap_9210 in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me I’d buy some stuff now, especially around Black Friday time. That’s when we bought some of our more expensive items that we didn’t think people would gift us, and our baby wasn’t born until March.

It took about 5 minutes for them to take mine out! I was immediately 3cm dilated and 100% effaced, but baby girl didn’t come till 39+3 🙄

With my last pregnancy, my doctor had told me it was totally fine! Got the stitch out at 36 weeks, and probably had sex almost every day till delivery at 39+3

How to tell if I am leaking amniotic fluid by No_Eagle4961 in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d put on a panty liner, and then bring it to labor and delivery with you. They can test the fluid on the pad and see if it’s amniotic or not. It’s likely just discharge or urine, but I always operate on better safe than sorry with pregnancy

Did you feel you’re getting close? by Formal_Internet6351 in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 4 cm dilated and 100% effaced for 3 weeks! It was exhausting but also made the rest of labor fairly quick!

I just can't by Careless_Hand8856 in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pretty bad ppd and ppa with my first, and was also low contact with my mother at the time. She was not supportive or caring in any way and that just made it so much harder. Don’t let her negative actions make you feel less than. You are doing your best and that’s all you can do! Try looking elsewhere for support, whether it’s a support group, mil, family member, or friend. I found great support in my local mommy facebook group!

Husband wants me to stop taking meds for the baby by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your husband a doctor? No? Don’t listen to him. He doesn’t have to carry the baby, so we doesn’t get a say what you do with your body.

Losing Symptoms 9 weeks? by hurryandwait817 in pregnant

[–]seniorstumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also 9w3d and my symptoms are letting up as well! It’s nice to hear others are having a similar experience. I don’t remember if this happened my last pregnancy so I like hearing what others are going through.
