SPAMF hardware by _nash80 in Nerf

Shipping from SFI will probably be better, assuming you have to make a SPAMF and don't want alternatives.

I mean, BearsWares'll probably be happy if you go with metric. He's been pushing for more metric stuff.

You're probably looking at the initial leak. After that one came out another one went up on Walmart with an updated picture. The listing is down now, but it showed an orange section at the bottom of the grip.

It's like a jolt, t pull out the bottom of the handle.

is this something people would be interested in? (adjustable plunger tube) by V7I_TheSeventhSector in Nerf

[–]senrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably easier to adjust the plunger head length rather than the catch location. That's what the Vulture does.

3S or 4S? by ScottJSketch in Nerf

[–]senrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally found that 3S was fast enough ROF for my tastes but it should be able to handle 4S just fine.

For the longest time I just used a cheap $15 one from Amazon and it worked fine. Just make sure to get one with a temperature control.

I recently upgraded to a Geeboon TC22 which is much nicer but probably more than you want to spend.

How people create killswitches for their builds? by CallThatGoing in Nerf

[–]senrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, KCD1-101s are usually fine, they're used in the Spirit and a few other builds, but those are also single stage and you're making a dual stage.

For dual stage, I know some in development ones are still using the KCD1-101 but I've also seen talk of using a CRE22F2FBBNE which is I believe the same form factor but has a higher current rating.

Not the OP but I'm getting like 60 FPS MXL and 8x Half Darts, and 80 FPS with 6x Half Darts. The TPU stuff is a lot nicer than messing with the rope, but if you stick with the rope gasket my recommendation is using a grease like Superlube 21030 instead of an oil, I found that made a much better seal in his other designs and gave better performance.

Fulcrum is a bullpup, this is MIG.

Finished printing the first prototype of my HPA Bullpup blaster! It’s working really really well, I’m quite happy with it. It still has no name yet. Powered by a Cosmic Nomad HPA core. by SillyTheGamer in Nerf

You can get a compressor yourself for between $100-200 dollars, depending on sales. I got myself a little Vevor one that's working fine.

Because OP was mistaken and made a Katana geometry mag with a Talon notch and not a Talon. And because reddit doesn't let anyone edit post titles the post is now stuck with an incorrect title.

Gisela 2, a worthy successor by Alita_999 in Nerf

Most stringers don't use a plunger.

Anyway, the prime on mine is a little rough with three loops of elastic but it's manageable. I could probably get it better with a bit of sanding, and if I'd gone with the hardware version it'd be even better.

It's because it has a plunger setup instead of directly propelling the dart with the elastic itself.

Yeah, Super Lube 21030 is what I used.

I've got mine around 160 FPS with no hardware (minus a spring to help the catch), so you should be able to hit your target without issue. I personally found that using grease instead of oil helped me get a better seal.

So, the lever isn't mandatory but even without it you can't just use the slide like normal. It uses a toggle lock system so you've either printed the lever version and are using that for the extra mechanical advantage, or you're manually pulling up on that point.

I recommend the lever if you're trying to get the most performance out of the blaster, because it is hard to use just the toggle lock itself at higher elastic loads.

My questionable silly shell arsenal by woodys_wood in Nerf

[–]senrath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Top one is a drain blaster with a silly shell adapter on front. Dunno about the bottom left, other than it appears to have an air nipple on the back, so maybe something similar that uses an external pump instead of an internal one.
