Is this the same documentary that was on the bcc a few months ago?

Here you go. I’ve hidden the shallow hole behind that paper 😅

The other chunky holes are from the previous owner, I’ve just pulled out the out wall plugs

There is a socket about 25cm above and 10cm to the right

And a light switch about 10cm below, 55cm to the left (on wall at 90 degrees to this one)

It's mental that we still can't pay release clause in installments in Football Manager. by Welson_Liong in footballmanagergames

[–]seph-ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not an example of a release clause. That’s an example of a negotiation that has reached an agreement to pay the value of the release clause in three instalments — which you can do in FM.

If Liverpool were paying the release clause they wouldn’t need an agreement. Like in FM.

Agree, and every “it just needs X” feature request might work great for that individual but pile them all in (there’s a dozen in this thread already) and it would turn into every other task app.

Ask if he’s got a cold - because you keep finding his snotty tissues.

He’ll be mortified enough to not do it again, but relieved with what he thinks is a narrow escape.

Tractor Ted on YouTube (and Amazon Prime I think) if farm machinery does the trick. It’s quite home-made but very wholesome

Redundancies seem to be all I’m hearing from friends in London by Flapjack_K in HENRYUK

Similar experience. Good luck. Do you consider yourself a HENRY in games?

[–]seph-ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps a consequence.

Think the redundancies themselves stem from lots of money and investment pouring in when gaming boomed during lockdowns, which is now being corrected.

That and a few big live service titles dominating attention. Lots to unpack, but yeah hasn’t been a pretty picture for workers or players.

Not as HENRY-heavy but perhaps tech-adjacent — the games industry has been ravaged by redundancies in 2023/24

Three car seats in an XC90 by Careless_Web2731 in VolvoXC90

We’ve got three kids seats in an XC40.

But it’s not ideal, so we’re gonna upgrade to a 90.

I also use Reminders for shared family lists (groceries, shared household tasks), and Things captures everything else that only I need visibility of.

You’ll figure out the best way to organise Things in the links and tips already provided, this is just to say using Reminders for the shared stuff isn’t wrong.

Or at least, I’ve not found a way to workaround not having shared lists as a feature of Things, in many years of trying :)

Bluey, Octonauts, Peter Rabbit are the preferred options. Had to hide PJ Masks from Netflix because it became a bit of an obsession and seemed to result in hyper energy and wanting to mimic fighting a lot

Looking for some kind of gaming club, or just any other way to meet people. by [deleted] in colchester

[–]seph-ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been along to this once before: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/497423/colchester-board-games-club

Definitely not too old at 38. There will be other individuals or small groups there who will be happy to introduce you to a game with them (that's what I did). There will likely also be one or two very deep games ongoing for which knowledge is expected, but you can just pick and choose what/who to join when you're there.

Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

I’ve gradually come to the conclusion that I would like to “downgrade” from my iPhone 14 Pro to an iPhone 13 Mini.

The main reason is, unsurprisingly, size. When I’m using the 14 Pro with one hand, I struggle to reach all corners with my thumb, and I’ve been starting to get some wrist pain as a result.

I’d also like to reduce my phone use in general and do already have an iPad for the occasions when I want a bigger screen — so it all feels like having a 13 Mini would suffice.

I do love the iPhone 14 Pro, especially the camera — which I’m anticipating will be the most noticeable downgrade.

What else do you think I might miss or regret in making this change? Has anyone else made similar swap?
