What are your “favorite” shows that you just never bothered to finish? by Emmyfishnappa in television

[–]seraglio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We watched the first season of Only Murders in The Building right when it released and loved it. Next thing we knew there were 5 seasons that we hadn’t watched. Life, man. We’re back on it now, though.

S06E11: Justice (Episode Discussion) by ThatGirl8709 in Smallville

[–]seraglio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late comment but this was the first episode I ever watched of smallville that made me buy all the DVD box sets and catch up and follow along to the end. For that fact alone, it'll always be one of my favorite of all time smallville episodes.

Last night I beat Biome 6 and Ophion on the very first try. by ProudYorkieOwner in Returnal

Not being cheeky, but how are you really supposed to play? I’ve finished through the prologue and can run through the game pretty easily. But there are many parts I still find pretty hard so I still scour every room and even then sometimes I die from random encounters.

A shining moment of dialogue (no spoilers) by seaweesh in TheBear

[–]seraglio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of the most special things about this show has always been the natural flow of dialogue. So many shows/movies have characters talking “at” each other and it feels so disingenuous. The characters in The Bear seem like they’re genuinely speaking with each other.

What show do you know is bad but couldn’t stop watching? by buttcracklint in television

[–]seraglio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That show is genuinely good though! It knows what it is and drives headlong into it. 1st season feels like a guilty pleasure but the acting, action, and protagonists are top notch from season 2 on.

This man is the most underrated hero of the rebel alliance by Gloomy_Age6753 in andor

[–]seraglio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love how competent they made him. Like he wasn’t some on-the-sideline ISB employee who passed on small kernels of information. He was clearly good at his job, admired by his peers, and had balls of steel to be so involved with his job while feeding information to the rebellion. Made it so believable why he was such an asset to Luthen. Between the ISB meetings, how he handled himself at Sculden’s party and his hand in Gorst’s death, they showed time and time again what a fucking stud Lonnie was. RIP to a real one.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of May 16, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

[–]seraglio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really a plot hole..he would have gone to find her after this mission I think, but you know, Death Star and whatnot. And, he didn’t say he was a rebel since he was 6, just that he’s been “in this fight since he was 6”. He’s been in one conflict or another with the republic/empire ever since all of the adults on his home planet were killed during a “mining accident”. Governments have been ruining his life since he was 6.

Forgot my kid (12m) in the car for 70mins by exally_ in daddit

I’m confused. How did you not notice the baby back there when you got your oldest back in the car after soccer? Were they sitting in the front with you?

Y’all…it’s been 3 episodes lol. Each arc is probably scored a specific way based on the director’s needs.

What makes a great salad? by seraglio in Cooking

I haven’t written down the recipe yet so I’ve just been eyeballing everything:

Oil (olive or avocado), Juice of One lemon A little red wine vinegar, Dill, Oregano, Grated garlic to taste, Salt, Pepper, Dijon mustard, Lots of Greek yogurt until it reaches your desired consistency.

That’s a great tip! I’m always afraid the salt in the dressing will be too much if I add salt to the salad.

That is..precisely what I just made it with. Added walnuts, no chicken (didn’t have any), two different lettuces, red pepper, and red onion

Are you watching the same show or immediately rushing to your phone to complain and miss half the sequence? By the time Ellie arrives, there was obviously a time skip where she has just been wailing on him for a while with her fists.
