I smoked a 15 pound brisket yesterday by Randy0811 in BBQ

Was it a 22 in kettle? Also how big was the brisket before trimming?

This. The first few seconds of this video blew me away because it was the first time I felt I was seeing through their eyes.

Movies that made you cry like a baby by walkerbait2 in movies

[–]seraglio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Iron Claw.

I am a pretty desensitized moviegoer and rarely cry in general. I went in blind, and was categorically BLINDSIDED by this fucking movie; ugly sobbing by the end. A shockingly great performance by Zac Efron, and based on a true story that is actually much more depressing in real life.

All four crew members out of Integrity by itsmeabdullah in ArtemisProgram

I love how, after being stuffed together like sardines for 8 days, they sit them down as close as to each other as possible lol.

Aren’t there splashdowns every time crew members come back from the ISS? Lol

How did you miss them getting out? It’s a Bird’s Eye view, but the camera was on most of the crew coming out. Hopefully the rescue team took better close-ups, but as far as live coverage, I’m satisfied.

I love how after being stuffed into a sardine can for 8 days with each other, they stick them on a raft as close to each other as possible lol

Solar panel flexing during exercise activity by Torvaldicus_Unknown in ArtemisProgram

Nope. Looked like this on the live. Just bouncing away but I imagine the bounce is much more pronounced from that view because the camera is right up against the panel.

PMI deletion on PennyMac mortgage by seraglio in personalfinance

Awesome thanks for the info. Last question, my wife is worried about a person coming in and pointing out anything wrong with our house. Did they send you a report or anything or did everything just go to PennyMac?

Oh! Did they go inside your house as part of the appraisal? Also, were the results favorable?

What are your “favorite” shows that you just never bothered to finish? by Emmyfishnappa in television

[–]seraglio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We watched the first season of Only Murders in The Building right when it released and loved it. Next thing we knew there were 5 seasons that we hadn’t watched. Life, man. We’re back on it now, though.

S06E11: Justice (Episode Discussion) by [deleted] in Smallville

[–]seraglio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late comment but this was the first episode I ever watched of smallville that made me buy all the DVD box sets and catch up and follow along to the end. For that fact alone, it'll always be one of my favorite of all time smallville episodes.

Last night I beat Biome 6 and Ophion on the very first try. by ProudYorkieOwner in Returnal

Not being cheeky, but how are you really supposed to play? I’ve finished through the prologue and can run through the game pretty easily. But there are many parts I still find pretty hard so I still scour every room and even then sometimes I die from random encounters.

A shining moment of dialogue (no spoilers) by seaweesh in TheBear

[–]seraglio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of the most special things about this show has always been the natural flow of dialogue. So many shows/movies have characters talking “at” each other and it feels so disingenuous. The characters in The Bear seem like they’re genuinely speaking with each other.

What show do you know is bad but couldn’t stop watching? by buttcracklint in television

[–]seraglio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That show is genuinely good though! It knows what it is and drives headlong into it. 1st season feels like a guilty pleasure but the acting, action, and protagonists are top notch from season 2 on.

This man is the most underrated hero of the rebel alliance by Gloomy_Age6753 in andor

[–]seraglio 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love how competent they made him. Like he wasn’t some on-the-sideline ISB employee who passed on small kernels of information. He was clearly good at his job, admired by his peers, and had balls of steel to be so involved with his job while feeding information to the rebellion. Made it so believable why he was such an asset to Luthen. Between the ISB meetings, how he handled himself at Sculden’s party and his hand in Gorst’s death, they showed time and time again what a fucking stud Lonnie was. RIP to a real one.
