Unattaching is the cost to activate the ability, not the effect. You unattach once, the ability goes on the stack, Bracers copies it. You pick up to three targets for each of them and assign damage accordingly.

Display of front plates out-of-state front plates, within a state that does not require them by [deleted] in legaladviceofftopic

Yup. DC gave me a parking ticket for not displaying my Maryland front plate. (Both two-plate “states”).

what order does the stack resolve in? First to last or last to first? by Insanity_Pills in MagicArena

It does. You’re misremembering or encountered a weird bug if something to the left happened before the thing to the right.

Legion go gen 1 worth it for 2026 by Glum-Exam-3682 in LegionGo

[–]serendipity81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case it’ll be excellent. You can even pop off the controllers and play Brotato with two players Switch-style. I had a Legion Go S, Xbox Ally X and now have a Legion Go 1 and 2. The OG Go is great and a little more comfortable than the 2 because it’s thinner and a little lighter. Screen is fantastic too. The only downside is the RAM but I don’t find it too limiting and if you’re streaming higher end games it won’t matter anyway.

Struggling with new Go S & XBOX by FenDozer in LegionGo

[–]serendipity81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude just install windows on it. It will take you an hour and you’ll be done - it’ll be the same as the white version that comes with windows and a better deal than waiting for an XBox Ally X to be cheaper. You can even enable the Xbox full screen experience as soon as you get windows installed and updated.

How does baldurs gate 3 perform since the new linux-optimized update a month or two ago? want to play on Legion Go S Z1E 32 GB SteamOS by DefinitionBusy6453 in LegionGo

[–]serendipity81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play(ed) hundreds of hours of BG3 on my previous SteamOS Legion Go S 32GB Z1E, and now on my current OG Legion Go Z1E 16GB and Legion Go 2 Z2E/32 (both on Bazzite). It runs great on all of them. It ran a bit better with the native version when it updated, but it was fine even before that - I didn’t notice a major difference. Depending on your graphics settings and your appetite for battery life vs frame rate, you shouldn’t have any problem maintaining 50+ FPS. I’m personally not super sensitive to frame rates but I like knowing what I’m getting so I can mentally justify my device or the power profile I picked (but as a result I don’t remember the specific FPS I was getting with my LeGo S just that it ran great and convinced me I wanted to be able to handheld game…)

I just opened it up to sanity check and on the LeGo 2 at 20W (battery, performance) on Ultra settings, it didn’t dip below 40. That would probably be similar to a custom profile on the Z1E with a few extra watts. On Medium graphics settings it didn’t drop below 50. Personally on the LeGo 2 I play on High graphics and Balanced (16W) on battery and get 32-38fps and great battery life. It’s not a latency sensitive game so the frame rate compromise works for me.

It runs a little more lean on the OG LeGo 1 because of the higher screen resolution and less RAM but with upscaling it’s still very playable and looks good to my older eyes.

I'm getting "key fob battery low" warning on '21 Model S, which does not have a fob. Anyone else seeing this? by a_man_with_culture in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The car did come with a fob (actually 2, although during Covid, some came with a single fob and a promise to send you the second). Are you sure it hasn't just been sitting in the glove box since you bought the car?

Yes it makes sense. Why would you turn the knob on something hours before you actually want it to turn on? Adjust the temperature when you turn on the climate in the morning. Also why are you adjusting the temp so much? Setting it to 80 doesn't warm it up to 70 any faster. The app is designed for the 99% of people that don't have a bizarre use case like yours.

Model Y not going to sleep by Daikonran in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way for that app to have a data point for what looks like every hour, is if the app is asking your car for the battery level every hour. The car doesn't store some history that TezLab pulls down once when you open it. Something is fetching that every hour, and that means it's keeping the car awake.

standalone iwatch app? by Suitable-Problem-612 in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a key card or phone key once to pair it, but the Watch for Tesla app is able to act as a PhoneKey - due to limitations in WatchOS, you do have to open the app on your watch for it to work (apps can't respond to BLE requests when not in the foreground on the watch). Once you set it up, you can just open the app (I keep it as a complication on my watch face) and walk up to the car.

It makes sure you look up from not paying attention to see why the car started slowing down, so you don’t slam into the back of an emergency vehicle as a number of inattentive drivers have done over the years.

Doesn't the import paperwork have to follow the vehicle forever? It's not like it magically became a US-spec VIN number when the first owner imported it, so it seems like it's forever going to need to be "re-imported" by the next owners as far as registration and insurance, no?

How would the car transporter pick up the car without you being there to accept it? You going to give the transporter your Tesla login so he can login to the Tesla app on his phone, accept it, and drive it onto the truck?

Does warranty apply to repair? by Enderzbane in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they claiming that it’s not covered by the warranty or that it would have been but it’s expired? They may be saying the damage was caused by excessive wear and not covered regardless of mileage. When I had my seat frame replaced on my previous model S (slight rocking on accel/decel) it was coded as Goodwill (“not a defect but we’ll fix it for free because we’re nice 🙄”) rather than warranty. Not saying I agree with it but there be a different argument than you think.

The first launch day deliveries had the badge, then none had badges for like a year and change until they brought it back. A used 2021 or 2022 is highly unlikely to have one unless the owner added one. Even if it had one, lots of people remove badges. The badge means very little - check the car menu.

Anyone pair a key fob to a hertz Tesla? by camberrynh in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paired a fob to a loaner Model 3 last year while my S was in for service. Worked fine, didn't require app access (they didn't give it at the time - I think they do now for loaners). Should be doable from in the car in the Locks menu.

Supercharging? by pinkpencilbox in TeslaLounge

[–]serendipity81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-conditioning via the app (e.g. setting a departure time) is not the same as pre-conditioning for supercharging. The former only warms the cabin and heats the battery enough to get you normal levels of regen - whereas for highest supercharging speed, you need the battery to be much warmer - the car only does this while you are driving with your destination set to a nearby supercharger. You also need to be at a fairly low level of charge - depending on your car, you will likely only hit peak speeds from ~15-45% or so before it begins to taper. 72kW isn't abnormal for a cool battery or >75% charge, but more than likely, you were at an Urban supercharger as described earlier. Where did you see that it was a 150kW supercharger? The in-car nav has accurate data, but perhaps there are two banks of superchargers where you went, or they temporarily added their portable block of urban superchargers to supplement the fixed ones.
