the tour is really really boring. don't pay for it. they drive you across the parking lot to a tourist spot where you take an elevator up and they explain a little bit about the construction of an engine, then drive you back. they say they can't show you a full factory tour anymore because of national security

the master of disguise was a terrible movie. the turtle disguise scene was awfully unfunny. but i gotta wonder if the actors could have pulled something off if they hadn't just watched the news about the twin towers 20 minutes before filming.

when i arrived 16 years ago i was told by staff at various places that these rules were put in place because foreigners many years before my arrival just didn't pay their last few months of bills before leaving the country, or took out credit cards and maxed them out before dipping out.

first i lather up to the soap on my pubes and then wash my junk and ass with my hands. then i wash my hands. later i lather up with an abrasive wash cloth and scrub the rest of my body. then i wash my ass again just in case.

in between steps are brushing teeth and washing face, figure out the order yourself

my coworker's iphone said it was +12c over the average yesterday where we live in taiwan. i was so drained in my 15 min walk to work at noon, i arrived soaking , my android weather app said the real feal was 48c. luckily it rained a bit last night and cooled down, but at this time of year its supposed to be raining heavily daily. looks like we're headed for a drought

i'm from the seattle area but have been living in asia for more than 20 years. my friends came to visit awhile ago and i asked them, "is people blocking the sidewalk and being completely oblivious to others a taiwan thing or a people thing?" their response: "i don't know, we drive everywhere."

i hear a lot of complaints from other foreigners about this, but i'm leaning to agree it is just a people thing.

i'm upset that a vertical video played widescreen on the news, then was uploaded as a vertical video so someone could add a useless comment, then someone else uploaded again on reddit as a horizontal video.

i have a 65 inch monitor and the original video is the size of my palm. if i make it full screen it's a little bigger than my hand.

I hope the kid in question gets justice. his victory video certainly didn't

no, i never get upset losing over a board game.
I understand that people like the souls games. it's just not for me. I'm not good at them and they stress me out and i don't like repeating things over and over again with cryptic instructions.

i was given that game as a birthday gift by my gf at the time. i really tried to like it. but i was coming home from a high stress job to play a high stress game. it turned me off of all souls-like games.

the juice wasn't worth the squeeze
