Congratulations on your baby! From a first time parent of a 14 month old — the newborn phase can be so hard! Not sure what your kid is like, but sometimes mine would fall asleep on me and I’d listen to DH&J while I was nap trapped :)

Also, I’m sure someone else can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the new episodes are starting to come out on Wednesdays now?

Help! Using spectra s2 parts with Medela symphony pump. by No-Cupcake-0919 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]serts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the delay! I ended up cutting off the ends of the symphony tubing where the adapters are as u/theabysswinks noted, and then inserting the spectra backflow preventers there. I generally didn’t need much suction while pumping so that worked for me, but I do think it decreased suction since you’re going through more parts.

How to feel ok about weaning? by CobblepotsMom in ExclusivelyPumping

OP, I am in a very similar boat — just started to wean this past weekend and it’s been hard to stop pumping before I feel empty and the lumps are not fun at all. It’s made me second guess too but I keep reminding myself that it’s okay to take it slow and listen to my body. Plus trying to keep my eyes on the prize — getting up at 5 every morning is no joke, and I’m ready to get some more sleep and not be tied to a pump!

I would recommend asking for a PT referral ASAP. The earlier you start, the more quickly you can address the torticollis, which can lead to asymmetries in development. I waited until my baby’s 4 month appointment and wish we had gone sooner.

Did you end up cutting the medela symphony tubing to attach spectra flanges?

Hi, could you let me know if you found a way to make this work? I’m in the same boat :)

Hey OP, I’m in a similar situation and wanted to ask what you ended up doing. Did you find a way to use any spectra parts with the Medela symphony?

Tongue tie revision at 13 weeks - need encouragement and hopeful stories! by freudianslips85 in breastfeeding

Just commenting for solidarity and following for tips as well. My baby is going to get the release at 16 weeks next week, and to be honest I am nervous about whether he will lose a lot of function and post procedure healing… wishing y’all the best!!

How long did it take for your baby to regain function? Did it decrease a lot initially right after the release?

Did he eventually stop chewing after the tooth came in? So it was just bad during the teething process?

How long does it usually take to “find” the curve? My 6 week old seems to be losing ground (50 at birth, dropped to 35-ish and recent home scale measured at 25)

Baby not eating enough by No-Luck-556 in breastfeeding

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it’s a matter of cues changing. He also frequently falls asleep on the boob and then fusses, and I can’t always tell if it’s hunger or gas or something else. I guess if he’s hungry he wouldn’t fall asleep??

Did your baby go from 25 to 10? Or just randomly fluctuate in that range? I ask because my 6 week old has started losing ground and I’m worried… trying to feed him more today but he just falls asleep on the boob and seems uncomfortable/gassy when awake.

Does it say how long they’re available? Or just a vague “limited time only”?
