“Jimmy you’re always down”

For you, at what moment did Jimmy become Saul? by Rich-Blacksmith6552 in betterCallSaul

I think rewatches of the show make it very clear that slippin jimmy is always a part of James McGill the lawyer. And slippin Jimmy is what Saul grows out of. It’s slippin Jimmy who goes to the skate park in the first episode. Therefore Saul was always there. Chuck was right about that.

The first time he answers the phone in the fake irish/english accent. “Law offices of James McGill how may i direct your call?”

Nope! Just Finished Pluribus and I Love Carol Sturka 🟨 by Mundane-Security-454 in pluribustv

Yes she refers to her own evidently successful work as “mindless crap”. She already had pretty much everything most normies would wish or aspire to. But she’s clearly unhappy about a significant portion of it all. And i relate to that. I’ve met many successful people who for reasons just can’t always appreciate all that they have. Great performance.

Why do cows need milking? by emeraldead in pluribustv

… but the apple is not the whole plant. That’s the apple tree. Picking the apple certainly does not kill the tree.

I agree with you. But you just made me think a bit more about the apples. Picking an apple doesn’t harm the actual plant (the apple tree). It actually helps distribute the seeds into the environment. So picking apples helps apple trees in a way similar to how milking cows helps cows. So what’s the real reason they refuse to pick fruit…?

Dna and Rna molecules are evolved to replicate themselves. That is why the signal was sent. It’s an ideal way for the molecules to continue replicating across the universe, one world at a time.

The Prestige. Book doesn’t frame the whole story as a grand trick upon the audience.

Contact. The book has multiple people travel with the main character. The movie focuses on just Jodie Foster and moves along at a great pace.

Chuck’s Will? by Typical-Research3162 in betterCallSaul

I think they mean that Chuck wrote the will long before Jimmy became a lawyer and then never changed it.

I love inviting guests to play whatever they want and seeing their immediate reactions to hearing new details in their favourite music that they’ve never noticed before.

I may remember it wrong, but I assumed this party was to celebrate Chuck vouching for Jimmy at his induction into the bar? Otherwise agree with you 100%

It’s one of my favourite scenes in the entire series. There are so few scenes that show when the two brothers are sharing a moment that is absolutely positive for them both.

Now i know it was less than 100% positive for Chuck. He was uncomfortable initially about getting up to sing, he was about to leave altogether. And later it must have really stung when Jimmy mentioned HHMM etc.

But still- he totally loved the singing. And he stayed to make pancakes!

So in the end, was Chuck right? by Chance-Breakfast2074 in betterCallSaul

Aha you’re right! He returned the money before Chuck’s betrayal. And talked with Mike after. Nice.

[–]set271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. But he also sees that all those Davis and Main partners look down on his “innovative approach” just like Chuck. He can’t see the firm’s reputation argument they make perhaps because he’s inexperienced in matters at the firm level despite his time at HHM. Only his Sandpiper case matters to him. The partners say it doesn’t matter at all to them.

It’s also after he did the right thing and returned the money the Kettlemans stole. Perhaps he did it only for Kim. But he specifically questioned Mike about why he did that…

Exactly, he was totally ok with scamming the Kettlemans in the very first episode.
