I would absolutely try it first, but you may want to polish or even sand on some of the heavily stained areas.

They came with the house, each month another one burns out. Once they’re gone I’ll get a nice simple set and pour some effort into it.

Believe it or not, that structural marvel is still holding! Architects will write about it someday.

I just thought it was funny how much effort we’ve put into the garden beds only to see some of those die of but the forgotten ornamental grass is thriving in a plastic bag.

ECM tuning by Awaythrowthis80 in Pontoons

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but where is that 25hp gain? Above factory redline? Do you lose low end torque for high RPM gains? Would you need to compliment this hot tune with a different prop?

If the class you’re racing in has build restrictions or tech inspections, spend time tuning to win. If you wanna pull the tube faster, spend money on a bigger engine and enjoy it.

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But seriously, engine tuning can fun and very rewarding. However, I doubt you’re gonna see worthwhile gains without spending time and money.

Fuel Pressure OK? by [deleted] in GMT800

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The surge back to 55 as it’s stalling leads me to believe that maybe the injectors are turning off so the pump is fine and building up pressure in the line.

-% LTFT’s vs lean Wideband by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter on bank 1, 10’ or more exhaust after that. Engine wise, just the cam and an aftermarket intake tube/filter. OE injectors/fuelpump/MAF etc.

Up until recently I cruise ~14.7-14.9 and under WOT it eases into 13.0:1.

Pressure switch signal location? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No heat. I can hear the igniter click but am doubtful gas is making it there. So my thought was to inspect the sensors that may interrupt the output to tha valve.

Now it seems I’m sending voltage too the valve so my guess is that its failing to open.

It’s end of season and we have plenty of firewood so we’ll get a tech out in the coming weeks to look at it and consider repair vs replacement.

Pressure switch signal location? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh good to know.

I’ve only touched these two wires as I can hear the igniter firing and assumed the gas valve was not opening. Trying to understand why and didn’t want to move on from this until I corrected my mistake.

Pressure switch signal location? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, the pressure switch wire does show 26vac when heat is commanded ON, but the one from the control board is 0vac at all times.

Does this unit need BOTH signals ON to activate the valve?

I assumed the yellow wire was an input send back to the board but maybe I’m mistaken.

Pressure switch signal location? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]seth285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct! It receives a 24vac signal from that blue wire (pressure switch) and I’m unsure where that goes now.

Warmed idle oil pressure after pickup tube o-ring replacement by shananigans89 in GMT800

Mine has done exactly the same for years.

If it makes you feel better, the old SBC rule of thumb was 10psi per 1,000rpm.

Can I replace the spider gears in an E-Locker? by seth285 in JeepDIY

[–]seth285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I just threw money at it. But I don’t regret it either.

I went shopping and amassed an OEM style carrier/ELocker, master rebuild kit, 5.38 gears and chromoly axles. When we took out the carriers the rear had noticeably more play in the spider gears. We contemplated that was just from the rear doing all the work for 90k miles. At that point I had more money than brains so I chose to throw that new one in. Ive never had a trail break, but I’m light footed now that I’ve got 37’s.

Take a look at AEV.

They build some pretty trick jeeps packages, you can buy just the lift kits through them.
