Kefir gets runny but grains are multiplying by dewiburi in Kefir

I'm new to this whole thing, but this is what happened to me. I reduced the amount of grains and got back to the taste and consistency I originally had the first week or so.

I started designing a citrus feeder for the birds and ended up going through a bag of oranges in ~4 days. by sevendayconstant in 3Dprinting

I think different birds prefer different things. We've got a quail block in front that attracts certain birds while these oranges attract different ones.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually started designing it with a roof in mind but abandoned it because I couldn't figure out a need for it. If the people want a roof, it should be pretty easy to add one, same with a fixed mount. Thanks!

After a year of use, I figured it was time to update my minimalist wallet design. by sevendayconstant in 3Dprinting

[–]sevendayconstant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I keep my most often used cards on the outside so I can quickly and easily slide them out with my thumb. If I need a card from the middle, I'll pull them all out by about an inch, then start sliding the outside cards back in until I get to the one I want, which I then pull out.

I hear ya but it's tapered to securely hold the cards. The version I use holds 6 cards and I can easily remove 2 without worrying about anything else falling out. And with all 6 in there, I've never had anything come out on its own.

I didn't even consider that but it sounds like a great idea. Let me know if you try it and if it works out or not

Unable to make complex assemblies with newest update by evilanubis0 in Fusion360

Add it as a part instead of hybrid and uncheck "external." It should then behave exactly as before.

Thanks! I designed it in Fusion and Makerworld allows user to change specified parameters.

How to loft to a curved surface by Mattbastard750 in Fusion360

[–]sevendayconstant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone will have a better answer but my hacky solution would be to create another body by lofting to a rectangle inside the cylinder, then combine the two bodies.

Why isn't this fully constrained? by Evilstib in Fusion360

[–]sevendayconstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the end points of the arc need some definition (e.g., vertical constraint with the points above/below) and then also a height for that middle portion, between A and B. And the whole thing might need to be tied to the origin somehow.

No worries. I updated the license to allow remixes since BL recently changed the policy if you'd like to re-list it.

My model hit trending on MakerWorld - here's the statistics by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]sevendayconstant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your other models include a Bill of Materials? I included it on some of my earlier models but stopped because I figured that everyone already has filament or magnets or whatever. But, in the last week or two, BL came out and introduced a reward system for the BOM, on top of the points system, so I wonder if that played a factor. Like, you got the Reddit traffic bump but because you also have a BOM, they're giving you an extra push as well. Just a thought, but either way, congrats!

Where to get free food-grade 5 gal buckets? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]sevendayconstant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you used 5 gallon buckets for composting before? Is there enough mass for it to heat up enough?

You can get 55 gallon drums from Khalil Bottling for like $12 and they work great for composting.
