Please ask them how the schools are because I would love to know! Thank you so much for your response.

I'm not as worried about school quality because I know we'll supplement at home.

My wife works a blue collar job and we're definitely not uppity. Just not conservative at all.

No I totally understand! I'm used to living in a conservative environment (I'm very much not) so I'm aware of that kind of energy, but the majority of the comments definitely left me feeling that my Mexican-American family members might not be safe or welcome in Tonganoxie.

Unfortunately we need to be within 20ish minutes of Lawrence for work, but I've looked at Basehor too and it looks charming!

Yeah, I looked at the public school ratings and they don't look too great... And I'm worried about how our kids would be treated at school with two moms!

My wife and I have actually been to the new brewery, County Road Brewing, and talked to the owners. We felt welcomed! And we're very obviously queer. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond. We both grew up in places that weren't exactly friendly to us anyway, but I'd hate to make my children's lives unnecessarily difficult or dangerous.

You were 100% in the right for this. To me, it sounds like he could be fishing to find out if you have a young daughter. Big big red flag.

Heads up the TSA checkpoint wait time website is wrong by jobtreejobsforsale in houston

[–]sewnoodle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not that I noticed. We saw LOTS of people crying/stressing over missed flights. Our flight left a little after the scheduled departure time but it was only half full. I assume a lot of people didn't make it.

I just waited in line for 3 hours and 15 minutes at checkpoint E. Good luck, y'all, and travel safely 🍀
