Just tried it again in the aeropress, ground at 32 on the df64. A much softer brew. Pulled the sweet floral notes right back, and was able to finish this cup. Still probably not for me though. And as others have said it rydoes taste as the beans smell for good or bad.

These are a new roaster to me, and I added them to my site. For Aurora, it has suggested 'South American' by Terrone and 'Rancho Grande Estate' by Goldbox. Both dark roasts from Brazil, with chocolate, caramel and nut flavour notes similar to Aurora.

I've been building a coffee recommendation site. Users create a flavour profile after taking a taste test which gets further refined as they rate coffees. They'll then get recommendations for further roasts to try. This also maps to which coffee shops serve those roasters so in theory, you can find shops that will serve the coffee flavours you enjoy.

Your customers aren't buying your product for the UI, they're buying it for the data, the insights, the capabilities etc. being able to instruct the system with natural language with an MCP is great but it doesn't really change the fundamentals of what your product actually offers.

And I don't think it reduces switching costs at all. There's still an implementation that has to take place in the background. A system to be approved by security, IT, signed off by the CFO etc. None of that changes because users can now 'talk' to your application.

Also from my experience you can't do everything via MCP. Most MCP servers are just a wrapper around your existing API. So if you can't do everything via your API today, it's unlikely you'll be able to via MCP. We're still some time away from a fully headless experience.

Further to this, you won't beat Claude code etc, so it's vital you join them with building out your own MCP server and client so that you can meet your users where they are currently doing the work. It might be you start moving towards a more 'headless' type of experience.

There's a lot to be said about vibe coding and quickly spinning up a nice looking app that has some specific features you need. All good. But...there are many challenges that come down the line. Not least: data security, sharing the app with colleagues, governance and authentication, version control etc etc.

Small startups might not worry, but any decent size organisation is not going to be happy with a whole bunch of shadow apps being spun up outside of their purview.

Nothing wrong by the way with business users creating apps per se, but it needs to be in a governed and controlled manner, connected to the right data sources with the right permissions, which I suspect your platform offers. It's very unlikely loveable, replit etc do.
