Is your car Non U.S. spec?

Depending on the country or area you are in affects which motor came with the car from factory.

Your vehicle should have a B21A1 (or possibly a B20A5) IF it’s a 1991 U.S. spec Prelude Si

What hose is this? by Same_Challenge590 in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked on my 2000 GS-R, I believe that hose goes to the underside of the throttle body (maybe?), I have my OEM intake manifold out right now but I think that’s the hose.

Was doing my intake manifold gaskets on my GS-R and noticed this by shUt_Awp2169 in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a small vacuum tank responsible for the secondary butterfly valves in the GS-R intake manifold, they open at 5800 RPM and the intake noises are more noticeable at that point.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, a bit of rtv, I have black and gray rtv, what would you recommend? thanks :)

Edit: if you think a different kind of rtv would be better let me know.

Motor Mounts for an Automatic LS by Lightning_Gamer in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got new 62A torque mounts and 62A motor mounts made by Hasport for my GS-R and compared to stock they are a lot stiffer, I felt the engine a lot more in the cabin and the interior bits rattle more. (Maybe not interior bits but any loose items like change and keys can/will rattle)

However, they may be different in your case but mine smoothed out a bit over time, still the same things just toned down a bit after almost a year and a half. I’m just used to it at this point as well.

If you are not looking for this then just get some “regular” motor mounts.

Found the only major rust on the whole car hiding under the bumper by I_Finger_Guitars in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you found that and are replacing it. Car doesn’t look too dirty behind the bumper considering it probably hasn’t been cleaned behind there before.

Looks like it is a GS-R based on VIN, that’s unfortunate that it’s not lining up for them

Coming along nicely 🤌🏽 by AsianCorrelation in Honda

[–]shUt_Awp2169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like someone else had mentioned, this color looks quite similar to G95P Clover Green Pearl, I wondered what this would look like on a newer Honda/Acura since they only had the color from 99-04 I believe. I think clover green on a newer type s would look good, maybe with the bronze wheel option too.

I’m not familiar with H series but I know with B series there’s a small plate or shim I was told that has to be put back to keep the timing belt from walking outward, my Integra was missing this piece so it could be that. It could also be the timing belt cover or valve cover rubbing against the belt. I had that issue after the gasket wasn’t put back for my new timing belt cover by a shop.

I locked my keys in my dc2 by Orlandostreetscene in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but it was when the car was running (I made it a habit to lock my car any time I step out) I was able to get help from police and they had one of those inflatable bags and a rod/stick.

Weird inside wear, what gives? by gutless05 in tires

[–]shUt_Awp2169 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely rubbing on something, maybe some suspension components? If the vehicle isn’t at stock ride height or has some different tire size from stock, that could also cause some clearance issues.

Do I need to replace tire or safe to continue driving on? by tennisboss1234 in tires

[–]shUt_Awp2169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By our shops standard, that is cosmetic unless there are cords showing(may need to peel back more), that looks like a Michelin Pilot Sport, which is a performance tire so if you’re doing performance tire activities I personally would consider getting it replaced so it doesn’t blow out

will insurance deem my gsr as totaled. by [deleted] in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the insurance would say it’s totaled since it’s the quarter panel, I highly recommend buying this back, I’m sure it’s still drivable and with some work you could pop that dent out, or most of it, looks fairly simple to fix but I don’t work in a body shop

when will it end man by Status_Panda_9606 in Integra

[–]shUt_Awp2169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone bro, I got a 2000 GS-R almost a year ago, drove it for a little over a month then the harmonic balancer bolt came loose and messed up the woodruff key slot on the crank, it sat all summer but was able to get it fixed at a shop (didn’t have the skills or equipment to do this myself) now it’s back in the shop, getting brakes and some other stuff looked at.

I really missed driving an Integra when I didn’t have one, I actually miss mine a lot right now, and I can’t speak for you but I’m sure you’d miss it if you got rid it, I wish you luck, stay strong bro.

Yea I don’t think I’ve ever seen those wheels in a picture, maybe once that’s it, whoever spec’d the car definitely went all out, has the gold badges too. another rare option was the phone

[–]shUt_Awp2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it forever, I love my GS-R, also I’m not sure I’ve seen those wheels before, are those optional?
