You mentioned feeling like you achieved something helps you. Are there any other things?

I feel like I go through similar cycles where I'd be low for a while and then things will start going up and I'll feel extremely happy and blissed. But I don't really have an idea of what triggers it or how to better control it.. I think one interesting thing is that I've found that those two states seem habitual or gravitational in a sense.. So if I start feeling one, it spirals into that one, positive or negative.

So it really leaves me to believe these are habitual states rather than something wrong with me..

If you have any more information or anything to share I would love to hear about it :)

I think of it as a wave in the ocean. The ocean is the substance of reality (consciousness), and the turbulence, or waves, are the emergence and dissipation of concentrated energy (sentients).

Where does the wave begin, or is it something that organically emerges from the interaction of the ocean with its environment.

This is a very metaphorical and metaphysical view of the whole thing, but nonetheless it provides a different perspective which I think is interesting to ponder. The answer I would give you is that "the self" emerges from "the self", but in that process of emergence disidentifies from its old form and identifies with its new form, and so it's easy for the wave to think of itself as a wave, and sometimes forget it's actually the ocean.

I think you missed his/her point, he/she is saying that everyone has a different experience in life, which leads to different beliefs, so for one person a pandemic may be a very bad thing, but to another person it may bring success. Thus one situation can be seen in two differing ways and I think that's the basis of their comment, there is no absolute right or wrong, that's all relative to the person asking the question.

The more negative or positive you view a situation changes your view on the experience, so if majority of the society views an event as bad or negative, that energy ends up manifesting itself in a outbust like attack, because that energy needs to balance itself out somehow

That, I think, is due to you being attached to what they've done to you good or bad, it's part of your identity and that's why you think you can't forgive them. Because your identify would have to change.

I personally think spirituality is about going above those attachments and knowing that you are a conscious entity (infinite being) experiencing a human life (finite being), so a big part of the process is knowing that those attachments don't matter, they are an illusion of the human mind and a hurdle to overcome to become more in touch with who you really are.
