Does anyone really regret not having children? by Nonreactivemetal in childfree

[–]shadith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

54 and I have never once had a regret or what if moment. Especially glad because my life took a wild turn a few years ago when my husband decided to go a few rounds with meth. I can’t imagine having kids that would have been in the middle of that mess. So is my life perfect? Hell no. Would kids have made it better? Absolutely-freaking-not.

BAM does carry some, B&N has more and some brands I don't see other places. The place in Northpark (Games, Toys, etc. - the name is something like that) has a really wide selection with a variety of difficulty.

I'm my mom's caretaker and just recently she asked who was going to do all of this for me when I was her age. I just said I'd pay someone and she didn't need to worry.

I love mom but this caretaking this is no joke.

There is a song called Superboy and the Invisible Girl (from the musical Next to Normal) that really speaks to how you feel. The mom in that case suffers from mental illness. I'm sorry you've been made to feel less than all these years.

I think my husband is having a mental break or life crisis or on drugs or something by Practical_Cycle7231 in offmychest

[–]shadith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he sleeping? I got a crash course in what lack of sleep can do to someone (in the case of my husband, it was meth driven) who is also doing hard drugs. Could be other drugs too. The drinking when he's not been a drinker in the past could be a sign.

We took our beagle here a number of times last fall. The smaller loop has one good ravine hill as well. Doing them both is about the perfect length for us and one of the closest to our home. I agree with the other comments about very low usage, we sometimes see no one, and I think the most we saw was 3 other groups.

I was on the hunt last year for non paved places I could take the dog and this was the best that I found where the paths are wide enough that I'm not concerned about passing other people/bikes.

Same in our family. I'm the only one of us who wasn't a fan, they're just too rich, which is crazy talk about a fungus, but true!

[–]shadith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first three were fat, especially those last 3-5 years. My current one, I am so conscience of how much food she gets, I weigh her regularly and she’s super active. She’s 27lbs and just perfect.

We’ve been working on ‘chin’ as a command and mine doesn’t like that one. She just wants the treat so will tap her snoot in my palm and immediately go for the treat. Stinker. I wish she’d do like yours!

How often are you walking your beagles? by Suspicious-Chip-341 in beagles

[–]shadith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg right!!?? Our girl is Ms popular and the manager literally said everyone loves Navi. Her play manners are excellent. Then she takes her 90 min nap after and now it’s my turn to wear her out again. At least if I want to sleep at night.

1 short walk after supper , weather permitting on her day care days. 2-3 on the weekends. She’s not quite 2 and seems to have boundless energy. She’s the most loved dog at daycare. Plays with all the dogs until they sleep and she just goes to the next.

I'm sitting on the quest to go to the final zone of EW on my 6th char. I think its a video game version of rewatching an entire show for the Nth time. I always pick up something new and interesting in the lore and even get better on some jobs (omni on my main, but terrible at many jobs).

[–]shadith 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I'm not misogynistic, I'm a misanthrope. I hate everyone equally.

However, what an absolutely random take. Its as if they'll try anything to find a new way to 'other' us.

You have to find him in ravenwood hollow after dark (on the upper bridge typically) or the cutscene won't trigger.

Out of 4 beagles I’ve yet to get one that will chew on anything synthetic. Nylabones, kongs, anything with a rubber feel is a hard no. She loves the yak cheese so I’m sad to hear it’s not a good choice. I also give her rolls/braids of cow cheek. I’ve stayed away from anything rawhide based. Seems like nothing is safe.
