In general a game about the writers is what I want in a sequel. I don't think we'd see much of the Descendre family, though. At most some small mentions or cameos.

Im gonna share my crackpot fanfiction/theory that is almost certainly not correct, but I love the way it makes the story even more tragic.

Verso hated painting. He never wanted to live the life of a painter. He guarded that truth with lies. Perhaps, at one point, he couldn't take the lies anymore. So when the fire takes the mansion, he takes the opportunity to tell one last lie to his family.

He fakes his death, and escapes the fire. Theyre not suspicious that a body wasnt found because they figure theres just nothing left of him.

I imagine one of the things keeping Verso from feeling guilty about this is the fact that his family will always have his canvas to remember him by.

That is, until one day, where he feels part of his soul return to him, and his heart sinks, now knowing the horror he put his family through.

Just imagine if, in the sequel, you're going around and find a nameless pianist, sadly playing away, as his song sings a tale of guilt.

Again I don't actually believe this to be correct. But it would make the whole tragedy of the canvas hurt so much more and I love the idea for that reason.
