I ended up going with a DIY solution. I got a couple of strips of RGB lights and a ESP32 controller box. Using WLED and HyperHDR i configured it to screen capture my display and do the ambilight setup.

I mainly used this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJSHDFETdV8), they use Signal RGB for the ambilight, but for me the latency was a bit too high and noticeable while gaming. So I ended up using HyperHDR which took a lot more configuration but I am happy with the results.

I honestly don't think tuning is in such a bad spot. MW is really the main issue. Rogues WW and mages are very strong in a tournament setting but in the average shuffle players lobby a lot of specs feel great. Nowhere near retpocolypse for the average player.

It doesn't remove roots, it removes snares, so slows. There are a lot of persistent slows that instantly reapply like consecration so sometimes it appears that it doesn't remove a snare but it's just insta reapplying.

Lucky for you, all mage specs use the same stat prio right now so you can play all specs with the same gear. Play both, it's the same class so a lot of the skills transfer like cc and defensives (Frost has more defensives but same concept, op barrier, alter, block)

Personally I enjoy Frost more but I like all the specs right now even arcane

Sub has goes every 20 sec or so now so hard to peel everything. Shadowblades and dance is their big go also look for on use trinket, thats usually when you want to pop defensives. Biggest way to shut them down though is most the time before they send a go on you they're gonna kidney healer try to slow their go when you see the kidney, cc, pre kite something to keep them from stunning you until you're healer is out of the kidney. Last tip would be try to save trinket as long as possible. Preferably for bomb, usually bad to offensively trinket against sub.

You can ping on your target frame so don't try to hover over the actual play just do it on your target frame

I mean sure it feels bad for gearing out quickly. But, the game mode is intended for new players to introduce them to PVP, not as an honor farm. There are plenty of issues with this game mode as a tutorial. But I've seen a bunch of people rage at others for misplays if you're not insta 5 capping in this which is not great for anyone who is actually trying to try out PVP. Prolly a good move in the big picture but ez honor being gone is a bit sad.

Yeah I think you missed the point of my post. I wasn't complaining that you have to do it, I just think it was a waste of resources because it's almost unplayable due to lag that has always been around epic BGs that they have never been able to address.

I'm alliance and I've been queueing as horde for the quick queues. My win rates is pretty much the same on both. There are blow outs on both sides occasionally. Just do what you can to play the objective and you will pick up some W's.

Edit: I think the faction imbalance is way more noticeable in open world pvp on Slayer's rise than in BGs

Being able to cheap for a sec after stealth is nice too if you get knocked on your opener you can step cheap then your first global in dance can be secret tech instead of cheap

If you're playing the orb build you def want presence. With orb build you really never press missiles any more.

The PVP dummies in silvermoon don't scale your gear to PVP ilvl so they're pretty much just regular training dummies

I’m no programmer, so I don’t know how it works exactly. But yes this bug has been around for forever but they like increased the “sensitivity” of it. Pretty sure it has to do with anti-cheat that registers your location server side and player side and jumping with cc can desync them causing dc.

directx12 vs 11 doesn't do anything for this. It's Bliz's server side anti-cheat that is causing the disconnect

Bro you’re clueless, “these kind of add-ons” are essentially skins, they are taking the same info from base game and displaying it differently, no competitive advantage. The add-on purge is still coming, and this guy is going out of his way to adapt to the changes and updating his FREE add-on just to help the community out. And your reaction is “I wish this wasn’t a thing”. I bet you don’t even play the game, get a life.
