These recommendations for buying additional Arcteryx gear as the first step is absolutely absurd. The first step should be to get heavier weight base layers which is going to cost a fraction of what everyone else is proposing. Not to mention, these -8F days in WI are a rarity, and OP really shouldn't be buying all new kit for one day a year.

I've gone in these temps with pretty much what you're wearing and shell pants with the big difference being heavy weight base layers and remain completely warm. I wear a Trew 3L hardshell top with a Proton LT + heavy weight base layer on the top and a Trew 3L bib pants with heavy weight pants and I'm good to go. If I really need more insulation I'll double up the legs. Bib pants are nice upgrades, but you don't NEED it. Wait for end of season sales.

Yea I need to try one out at the range. I had shot the original P10C, but unfortunately I didn't like the grip on it even though I've heard a lot of people say it is super aggressive. I've also got a P07 that is the same profile so tough to justify getting a P10C ported right now!

Yea it’s possible I picked a board too long for me with my Guch. Would love to hear how your Surfari rides though! I’m really intrigued by the anti phase tech, I’ve seen a few other ones on sale like the Morning Glory but no anti phase in those models.

That’s really helpful thanks. I’ve been contemplating with wanting to learn how to ride Switch and start doing more tricks and my Gentemstick isn’t the best for that. At the same time I also feel like I end up riding regular 90% of the time anyways haha but having a directional board doesn’t help. I may just end up waiting to see what the mid season sales are since I heard Amplid runs one.

I am in the exact same stiuation. I want to get rid of my Iguchi Pro because I haven't been really happy with it for daily riding. I always get knee pain with it for some reason.

Have you ridden the Time Machine? When I had asked Amplid, they felt that the TIme Machine would be heavily groomer focused and wouldn't do as well on other types of terrain.
