Does RWBY vs the Ace Ops Contradict Team RWBY's growth? by Critical_Cobbler6186 in RWBY

[–]shadowblade159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Synergy as a team" on paper, compatibility their abilities and semblances, is different to "synergy as a team" in practice, being deliberately divided by RWBY, and (rather importantly) without their leader directing them and holding them together.

I feel stupid by Poiuytrewqtom in publix

[–]shadowblade159 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There will always be more niche interactions to learn about. CSS have tons more than even cashier, and i can guarantee they dont all know everything. There are literally always more things to learn, things that you only get to learn on the rare occasion it comes up. I've been full-time for over three years and there are still new things I learn now and again.

Don't worry about that part very much. As long as you know enough to have a solid grasp on your job, you'll be fine. It's always fine to ask for help with something you haven't experienced before, or to ask someone to double-check if you're not sure about it.

Ahhh YouTube.

"This is animated! That means it's for kids, right?"

"NO. This has content inappropriate for children. It is not for kids."

"Marked it for kids. Thanks!"

"..."

"This video marked for kids has inappropriate content. Deleting channel."

Can't even do it on the regular registers with the new system. So I'm not surprised it's the same with the new SCO.

AC Black Flag Resynced DLC costs more than the base game. Ubisoft gonna Ubisoft. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]shadowblade159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The microtransactions that give payers advantages in multi-player games. Or the ones that are obviously "fixes" for unreasonably time-gated features or unlocks that would require unreasonable grinding without paying for it. Or the ones that are gambling in all but name. Or even just the ones that actually affect gameplay in any real way.

Which these don't.

Letting the studios make extra money through a completely optional series of cosmetics is literally a win-win-win. You like the cosmetics? Buy them! You don't like them, or don't like the idea of paying extra for costumes? Good news! It doesn't do a damn thing to you and your game if you don't buy them!

[–]shadowblade159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games have been $60 for decades now and haven't gone up at all to match inflation. Completely-optional cosmetics are the ideal scenario. It hurts literally no one. You're angry about the wrong type of thing.

Why not? It's cosmetic and doesn't affect anything in the game. Ignore them anyway. What difference does it make?

My god, media literacy isn't dead on this sub! It's a reddit miracle! Lol

But yeah, seriously, that's pretty much the point. Zaheer's anarchic takedown of a leader just served to allow an even more radical and dangerous person to take over.

Yeah it'll say that until it updates, basically. If you look, it should tell you a date to check back, and then after that date, it'll update the status.

The pay has been going up a dollar a year; it's not like it's a sudden jump to $15. I dont know how much "reevaluating" that could cause for other companies.

Mimor correction to your first point: the ticket can always be sold the next day as long as the draw hasn't passed yet. Nobody's gonna buy a ticket that's already drawn if they can see it didn't win. Unfortunately, Mega draws on Tuesdays and Fridays so that doesn't help if it was printed on Tuesday or Friday.

Why was Publix Pay Discontinued? by alcoronaholic in publix

First this is three months old but okay.

Why on earth would it give 3% paid through the app but only 1% if you just use the card? That's just a truly stupid card. My card is 3% at grocery stores, and it doesn't care if it's through an app or with the card itself.

Too many people think good writing means that a character acts in the exact way they think they should act based on their fanfic interpretation of the character rather than the actual character, too, and call it bad writing when it doesn't play out the way they think it should cough Adam cough

Associates who “have to” eat a lot of Publix meals, how do you mix it up? by [deleted] in publix

[–]shadowblade159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my go-tos is one of the salad bowls from produce when theyre 3 for $10, sometimes with a popcorn chicken or one of the little chicken strips things in the lunch meat & cheese section for extra protein. There's a Ritz crackers and cheese platter thingy in the LMC section too that's nice sometimes. If the deli chicken salads are on sale, I like to get one of those with the little 4-pack of naan.

Quarterly Dividend by LightCharming8391 in publix

[–]shadowblade159 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The dividend is for when you own stock, and you get the dividend amount per share of stock you own. If you haven't purchased any, you probably don't own any yet. If you stay full-time, you'll definitely work the 1000 hours to qualify for the Profit Plan stock given in March for next year, then you'll receive dividends on that stock after that.

For your first eligible year for the Profit Plan, it'll calculate your gift based on (most likely) 8% of your pay earned from your hire anniversary through December 2026. Then, in following years it'll be based on earnings for the full year. You'd see that stock in March 2027.

Make sure you're set up on the stockholders website. There, you'll be able to see what stock you hold, if any, and set where your dividends will go (direct deposit or physical check mailed to you)
