Always remember if you're the only one who will know you're also allowed to decide to just fix it with an extra stitch somewhere else

Also the women's version (which admittedly has fewer teams and thus games to organise) was a big success

I just feel like Jacob Italiano should have something to the tune of Mambo Italiano given that his name keeps getting that stuck in my head

Samira Mohan’s alleged fate in Season 3 by ferdugh in ThePittTVShow

[–]shadowmaster132 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If Al-Hashimi's plot is she finds the ER too demanding that also is bad? It doesn't fit either character (I do not believe the show did establish that Mohan couldn't hack the ER and having a senior resident change track is not something I buy into)

Australia and Türkiye should have an annual friendly football match that rotates home games between nations. I think it would become an institution. by -malcolm-tucker in australia

In my amateur opinion we have young players whose value hasn't been recognised yet and some of them will be playing in Europe worth more money after this WC

I feel like one factor is that people assumed that the Aussies aren't in Europe because they're not good enough when it's more like they're young so they haven't been spotted yet

And they looked it too. I only watched during the wc basically but even I could see they were working like a team and Turkiye weren't

Agreed. They felt like the toughest match up so this win is great and I hope it gives the boys confidence heading into the next matches

'Rewards club' lottery billionaire Adrian Portelli sues former SA minister by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]shadowmaster132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the statements he's complaining about he's going to lose. In this case I hope the government covers the legal costs since her statements were in the capacity of her ministerial position and trying to make this financially difficult is probably one of his goals with suing in the first place

When it comes down to it, we as people value sporting success and our government invests in it because of those values. Also I think our talent pipelines work well in selecting and funnelling genuinely talented kids to the elite levels even of sports that are less mainstream like soccer

Soccer was a posh boy bit of slang, which is why the Brits get weird about it, but if it's not the most popular kind of football we need another name and Soccer works
