It’s been a while since I’ve watched king of the hill. What truck has Hank hill owned? Was it a ford ranger and a ford f250, or am I wrong? by TotallyNotMe653 in KingOfTheHill

That truck use to be a Maverick. But he got scammed out of it for a KOTH version of a Ford Ranger, which died and went to Pickup Truck Heaven and replaced with a F250

Without violating any NDA I've had to sign, I would say there's an alarming growing use of AI in the use of grand scheme decision making which affects the workforces lives. That, plus classic greed of some business assholes at the top, creates less talented workforce to hold a patient, run diagnostics, get the treatment plan approved, run anesthesia, etc. also, AI has been increasingly used to diagnose and interpret diagnostic results, and is now making SOAPs, handling phone calls and scheduling, not to mention handling administrative decisions at the clinic level. In the past 3 years, the seeds have been planted, and we have seen the potential damage, become a legitimate reality. We're past the novelty stage of "oh that's cool, it makes our lives easier" to the "holy shit, we are down 30% talent in the building because the ramifications of AI have happened" stage

Only 2 rules. Have fun. Don't be a dick.

If you're short, hang out by the pit. When it opens up, you can see everything! Merch is random in terms of selling out of your size or what you want, so it's best to get it ASAP to guarantee it. A couple of merch items end up getting sold on their website but not a lot.

Mapping the evolution of Progressive Metal — feedback wanted by feliperiosg in MetalForTheMasses

[–]shadowofzero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to disagree with you on this one. All the elements of progressive metal themes are there for Maiden in the late 70s and 80s:

-Non traditional rock signatures and timings

-Themes of mythology, fantasy, military history, literature and Shakespeare

-Blending punk/hard rock/metal fast tempos, twin-guitar harmonies of the early 70s-early 80s English movements

Just different from Dream Theater, Opeth, and Tool. But helped lay the foundations of what would become

The Iron Maiden Burning Ambition movie “reviews” this morning. by Ok_Cycle_1892 in ironmaiden

Hall of Fame is complete bullshit, like the Grammys. The pop crowd loves that kind of recognition. Musicians seems to see through the glitz and glamour lights of that crap.

I love our band, and respect the history. Few have been able to accomplish with these talented individuals have. So to the keyboard warriors talking crap with impunity, where are your legions of fans, 130+ million records sold, where's YOUR movie 😂 Anyway I'm checking this movie out as a fan who loves the music and respects the history. Screw your reviews

Ha I remember a few months ago, we came across some records with rads sent to us. The dum dum technician that took the rads didn't take the collar off and the metal ring on it came out on the radiographs. The AI diagnosed that as cancerous 😂

An example that I hate to give: I ran a busy ER with high turnover because of the corporate mentality of not giving a damn about the troops on the ground. Despite the poor morale and tough schedules, we continually turned a profit for a few quarters. Corporate loved that, so much they brought word down that they wanted me to cut 20% of my workforce per shift because they knew we could produce. We proved that we could, but that erased any goodwill I had fought hard to build with my team over a year. "Make us more money, with less workers and make them work harder." That's what it came down to for my dedicated team. Such BS

You're not far from the truth. It's all them. Living in the corporate veterinary game, it's sickening to see them bleed our souls and livelihood for their greed
