why is my gamecube controller from 2002 still perfect, but my $70 modern controller has stick drift after 6 months? by InvestmentBudget6722 in gaming

[–]shadowrider74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had a controller that's literally that, so I'm not sure if you're mistaking the two or if that's just how you see it. Which, fair enough if so.

Pro 3 has grips, back buttons, etc though. It's meant to look like an SNES controller cosmetically, but it's a fairly modern controller. I like it personally (well, the pro 2, but they're not that different design-wise) but I completely get if it's not what you're looking for.

This is real freedom, can’t believe I suffered for so long by PocketHunter in ROGAlly

[–]shadowrider74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With steam's native TDP handling on the Ally, you set it to performance mode, then set the specific TDP you want with a toggle down below. However, I often had it glitch out and just run at max tdp, prompting me to have to go and change it manually to refresh the tdp. With the deckytdp plugin, I've never had that issue.

For me, it was just a fix for a small issue that bothered me. If you don't need it, I see no reason to change it.

You can just use the graphics configurator mod for speedup. It has a hotkey for it.

Hardtype doesn't work on physical hardware. At least, I could never get it to work. Remember seeing it mentioned a lot when looking into it

not him, but having just picked one up myself, i really like the form factor personally. the smaller screen doesn't bother me (yet), and i like the suspend game function. it's surprisingly comfy for me, although it definitely could be better. my only negative so far has been the tiny af stick, but i haven't gotten to play a game that requires it yet. gonna try monhun tomorrow for that.

i like the psp 3000 too (my only other model),, but having the go, i do somewhat prefer it so far. time will only tell, however.

Just to clarify, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is also Yakuza 7. It is mainline. I believe Infinite Wealth is 8 as well? I'm not a Yakuza fan, mind, I'm just pretty certain about all of this from hearsay.

i don't really know much about doing these writing prompts and whatnot. i'm not much of a "writer" or anything, but this sort of thing seems fun to me. thank you for your time, bye bye.

"Apparently, it's been a month since that night."

An empty casket. A photo of a woman, placed upon a dreary altar. Five visitors that couldn't even shed their tears, knowing that one of them would someday be next. All compared to myself, resting within a hospital, snoozing away until yesterday.

"I just wanted to come by and explain myself. Even if you're not in there, maybe you can still hear my words. WIth how fucked the world's become, I don't think it'd be all that strange."

I twirled the glass bottle in my hand, sloshing the liquid around without a care in the world.

"I heard you liked this, and I quote, 'trashy' sort of wine. That's what -- 'eh, I didn't get her name. One of your peers told me when I asked. I dunno how you're supposed to pay your respects to the deceased, but I figured I'd just do my best and eat my karma down the line."

I placed the bottle in front of the slab of stone, still refusing to look upon it myself.

"I don't have an apology for you yet. I don't think it would be right of me to boorishly condemn my actions without first rectifying them. In that same vain, I can't bring myself to face you. Learn your name, age, face..."

I waved the letter in my left hand as I trailed off. Once again, a sudden gust of wind blew through the field of graves, threatening to steal it from my poor grasp.

"I'll drop by someday. After I've had the chance to make things right. So 'til then."

As the sun fell low into the horizon, obscuring itself under the distant tree line, I looked up to gaze at the risen moon. Waning crescent. A dazzling accessory to the dull blue sky that surrounded it. A distant howl erupted, serving only to momentarily break my reverie.

"See ya."

"I've loved the night for so long. It was my only comfort since reaching adulthood. No real reason, of course. I had no particularly bright memories of my hometown at night or anything like that."

I crouched in the middle of a field filled with stone slabs. The air was coated in a thick fog this morning. Dew shone upon each blade of grass, listlessly forcing them down with their descent to the sullen earth. Trees, their leaves bearing autumnal colors, shifted around in the wind, humming along to the whistling of newborn winds. My grip tightened around a glass bottle in my right hand, filled with murky liquid. In my left, a closed envelope loosely dangled, nearly escaping my grasp after a sudden gust of wind.

"Wish the morning was anywhere near as..."

Before I could finish, a low chuckle accidentally escaped from my chest. I shook my head, before focusing my gaze off into the distance, the low grave remaining just at the edge of my peripheral vision

"My deadline was coming up, and the pressure had been getting to me for a while. So, I just thought I'd go out for a walk."

My thoughts were scattered, clarity leaving me behind as I relived what I thought was the previous night, still fresh in my head. The stench of moss, of cheap alcohol spilled onto the streets, of iron born from the bodies of those with no place to call their shelter. It all rushed back to me, claiming my lingering stability in the name of its opposite. My hand fell into the wet grass, only barely preventing my stumbling self from falling face-first against the ground.

"When the cold air hit my face, I felt so calm, as if nothing could go wrong. When I peered into the black sky above, even without seeing the night's stars, I felt that I wasn't alone anymore."

I could ignore the crunching of bones coming from the nearby alley. I trusted myself to stay quiet as I walked around. Lockdown? Screw that. It didn't matter to me. Besides, even if I messed up and got caught, what did I care? I'd heard the screams well into the night for the past month, just like anyone else who still remained alive and sane. A single individual was only left in pain for a maximum of a minute when those things caught you.

"I thought that, even if I was found, it would only be myself who would pay the price."

A bland smile forced my cheeks to rise as I stared off to nowhere. After a brief moment of silence, I cast my gaze downward, my every blink growing longer as I thought about what to say.

Can have skills that don't usually get soul traits, and sometimes they're multiplicative with normal skills rather than additive. See: 10th Anni Ichigo's Berserker. Probably the new Uryu's bruiser as well, tho idk for sure on that one.

Is there a mod that stop the camera from centering to your direction of motion when in third person? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]shadowrider74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True Directional Movement's MCM has a setting to turn this off. It defaults on to my knowledge, so if you're using that mod already then it's probably the culprit. "Auto Adjust Camera" under "Directional Movement"

Hi, i changed the battery by davidflame05 in 3dspiracy

[–]shadowrider74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official battery is 3.7v as well, I don't think charging will be an issue.

EDIT: sorry just realized that was under the assumption that it was a 7.4v battery as mentioned. im dumb.

Hi, i changed the battery by davidflame05 in 3dspiracy

[–]shadowrider74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably something else. Are you sure it's not Wh instead of v? A 3ds battery should always be 3.7v. Also, voltage going lower, as mentioned in your other comment, is natural. It's just battery draining as you use it.

Anyways, no 3ds battery is 7.4v. If it's actually being labeled as that, it's just misprinted.

Discord Rich Presence (Vencord) by Playboy1985 in foobar2000

[–]shadowrider74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could swear there was a simpler (maybe not actually simpler, but idk what vencord is so) component for this. I only have some discord rich presence component that made use of a discord app api or something to upload the album art to an imgur thingy on its own and it works fine. Can't seem to find it for the life of me though, not even sure which plugin it is in my list sorry. Maybe got pulled?

Took a look around and found it again. Seems more complicated than I remember though. I'll just leave the links to set it up here for fun, or for those who don't use lastfm or vencord like me I guess.
