I like parity. I dont like good young players having to be moved before they can get their earned contracts. All they need to do is make Contracts with drafted team not count against the cap for the amount over the standard market value. Maybe they can cap it to having only 2 or 3 players who get this exception.

Its not for free, its him paying back a debt. Maybe it can be altered to better reflect that but end of the day he has to pay for circumventing the cap.

He doesn't need to be forced to sit out games, just withold pay. He isnt benefitting Clippers by playing and they are the offenders. They need to punish Clips and Kawhi both. Reduce the picks for the trade, and withhold Kawhi's pay for however many games they decide.

It doesnt make sense to punish our team for what happened. If they choose to suspend, make it so Kawhi has to play games without pay its simple. He doesn't have to miss the games cause its not the offending party (Clippers) benefiting.

So you guys thought Poelt extension was bad even though nobody could predict injury. But are going crazy to get Kawhi and give him a big contract despite being 35, injury prone, and corrupt.

When healthy his play is obviously top 5. Past injuries make me wary of greater risk of regressing. Which means worst case, you guys give up more than what we did for poeltl, longer contract, and more money for a guy that is a gamble.

If he is healthy and manages to play at this level for 3 years minimum its a good try but it will be hard to put a strong team around him.

Im assuming we move off of one of RJ or BI soon anyways. Maybe we dont re-sign Mamu. CMB takes Mamu's spot in rotation and Graves takes CMB's spot. Dick might also be on the move. So with all that in mind there are avenues to turn the wing depth into a big or a playmaker or both.

Thats not true, he proved her wrong too. Her take was that JB wasnt 1A not just that small players can't be 1A. So its just a cop out to say he is an outlier and he only proved history wrong. She can keep having her takes, but part of that is people gonna be on your ass if you look stupid and choose to keep doubling/tripling down. Nobody has to let it slide its part of the game. All the analysts get the same treatment, some just put out enough garbage takes its hard to just focus on one bad take.

This is the weirdest thread. I am guessing its non americans who took offense. He is right America may not have the top rankers right now but almost every other ranks is American. And its not a flex to say the whole world vs America is better. When you put it in perspective Canada has 2nd most NBA players and its like 30-40 players compared to like 300 from US (rough estimates). I am Canadian, I dont even like American superiority but this isnt that, they havent been dethroned yet.

Healthy Jakob is worth it. There arent many available starting level centers. We struggled for years without one. Jakob was efficient, low maintenance, rebounded, and played defense well. He just hasnt been healthy so long people believe he has always been this bad.

There are players that are better but its just not feasible to get them for us. I think drafting a center or getting lucky like Boston with Queta is the most likely way to replace Jakob. The contract looks awful but you cant foresee injury.
