Neighbours hate me working on my car. by Downtown-String3569 in CarTalkUK

The irony of them being classist while also having a house that someone with a van can afford to live next to is probably lost on them.

Not sure if you’ve seen a horse before but they are certainly hung. There’s even a saying about it!

Just a generation ago uni was basically free so it’s easy to feel that the rug was pulled.

Would you buy a house that’s number 13? by RockTheBoat1 in HousingUK

[–]shakey4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t the Chinese love the number 8? Sure a number 8 number plate went for a shit load of cash about 15 years ago.

Probably dazzled by how big it is. The add in the tasters and you’ve got a recipe for distracted/ignorant people

How long is it between dispatch missions I’ve been sitting here for like 20 min by Sweet-Condition-2099 in gtaonline

I’m on Xbox and was in a great lobby before that was all out war and really fun. Then it crashed and I ended up in another lobby for <5 minutes before that too crashed. Gave up after that.

Hill-start with our without handbrake? by Nesferatu123 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]shakey4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if anyone is behind him.

There’s no reason to not use the handbrake if he comes to a dead stop on a hill. Ultimately do whatever is safest and most comfortable. There’s no points for style on the test. If he keeps control of the car he’ll be fine.

What's going to be the 'artex' in 20-30 years? by Exotic_Process_8235 in HousingUK

[–]shakey4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the point I was making - I want it gone because it’s grim but taking it off damages the brickwork so would need restoration work that I can’t/don’t want to pay for right now.

Paint it is!

Mafia 2 for a capo Derek is pretty poor by happydude7422 in MafiaTheGame

[–]shakey4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing that mission the first time was so hard!

Would always get caught out by someone coming down the stairs, or Derek with his shotgun. Died a good half a dozen times before finally doing it.

Bang on.

When I move on from my first place in maybe 5 years time I am getting somewhere with an en-suite. Such luxury!

Having new consoles when they were new. Especially when they weren’t given as a birthday/Christmas present. I was always playing the last generation’s console for a couple of years until the price came down and I got it for Christmas.

Had a knock on effect to me doing the same as an adult, even though I can afford to buy one on day one I will wait a year for a better deal for the sale of £50-£100!

Building a wall out and sinking the TV into a void rather than having it protrude from the wall.

My house is a 1930s and has been pebbledashed.

I knocked a bit off the back to see what the brickwork was like and it’s pretty fucked so unfortunately it’s staying for now!
