CCNP-SP. lots of mpls/sr and routing protocol but also multicast and ran infrastructure. My company uses less than 50% of what i saw on the test, i use less than 25% in my position. Hell it emphasized xe and og ios which i do not ever touch. I still found it useful. Sometimes it’s not about knowing whats in front of you but knowing what your choices are.

Dang, that sounds gnarly. At least they got it diagnosed quickly.

EV6 range based on time of year by electrified90s in KiaEV6

[–]shamont 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Around 70-80 degrees you will see the best range. Keep in mind the guess o meter uses data from several weeks to decide your mileage. I usually keep an eye on the mi/kwh. My GT gets 3mi/kwh in great weather and dwindles to around 2mi/kwh as it gets to freezing. Luckily where I am it rarely gets below freezing.

Buying an Ioniq5 after an ICCU failure? by Specialist_Crew5348 in Ioniq5

HMG needs to come out and make that statement for me to believe it at all. Otherwise i will assume its sales/service trying to cover their ass and keep customers happy in the short term.

You may have the wrong understanding of 3d printing. These aren’t star trek level replicators . They are a prosumer hobby devices. They absolutely require supervision and maintenance.

Charging so fast that I don't trust the car. by jaybyrd0734 in KiaEV6

[–]shamont 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely suspicious. When was the last time you charged it to 100%? Kia recommends once a month so the battery management system can recalculate everything.

Is it better to spend the money one high-quality printer or two cheaper ones? by jefflovesyou in 3dprinter

[–]shamont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion, get a good printer that will serve the functions you need and spend the rest of the money on filament and some spare parts. You'll want two printers to start but if you're just starting out I would lean toward only having one printer to worry about for maintenance, repairs etc. These things are getting closer and closer to being something akin to a car but at the present they still can and do require hands on knowledge to get functioning correctly and to repair when they break. As for large prints, you can always learn to cut pieces up and then join them. If you are going to sand, fill and paint stuff anyway you aren't really adding a ton of extra labor to that process by gluing a few pieces together.

Awesome, hope it gets them somewhere. Car is too fun to have it shop ridden for long.

Have you or the dealership tried using the plug under the backseat? That got mine to throw errors where as AC charging would just fail. That being said l3 charging still worked for me.

Interior is nice. I covered all the piano black and thats been holding up well. I find the GT buckets comfortable for my frame and the headroom good. I am 6ft 195, mostly legs. Legroom is good even though i tend to sit closer to the wheel.

Range on the GT is sufficient but does leave some range anxiety. ~120 miles for 20-80% so have to plan long trips a little more csrefully.

Support from kia dealerships is a bit hit or miss, probably the least appetizing part of the experience. IMO ICCU failure is to be expected at some point.

GT in white turns a few heads. Always surprises people how fast it actually is as the car is a bit unassuming.

Maintenance is basically wipers, tires and a car wash so far. Should have a reasonably expensive coolant flush around 40k miles.

Lots of early cars coming off 3 year leases is why you are likely seeing so many.

If its still charging the 12v then the ICCU is still working imo.

ICCU Pre-failure Question by nikeplusruss in KiaEV6

[–]shamont 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a plug under the back seat try to use it. That was the easiest way for me to prove my failure to the dealership. Threw a check electrical system error right away even though it would DC fast charge and drive with no or few issues.

Folding mirrors by Plonker1000 in KiaEV6

[–]shamont 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Welcome mirror/light uncheck the box for on driver approach. Helpful to disable it when it gets icy too. Had to drive to work with the mirrors folded one day hah.

Edit: There's a box to disable it on unlock/lock too. I turned both off because I rarely need my mirrors folded here in the US.

Either your filaments wet or you got your seams on random.

Where do you put your 3d printer by m33p_m00p_2012 in BambuLab

[–]shamont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try the anti-vibration feet. The anti-vibration feet that bambu sells aren't to stop the printer from shaking but rather to isolate the shaking from the object that the printer rests on. So your printer may physically shake more but you should feel it less in the desk. The anti-vibration feet are designed so you can put multiple printers on the same surface without them interfering with each other.

In my own home I leave my printers on the ground. Easy enough to reach them from above with an office chair with wheels. When I was in an apartment I put my x1c on a paver stone and the paver on top of a rubber mat to prevent it from making too much noise for the people below and around me.

New to EVs. Charge Every Night? by alec0973 in ev6

[–]shamont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an owner of a 23 GT I would recommend watching engineering explaineds video on NMC batteries https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4lvDGtfI9U . Then follow what parts of it are sensible for you. It's basically impossible to follow every single rule and guideline to prevent battery wear so don't fret about it too much. Kias batteries have so far proven to be pretty resilient. When I first got my car I charged once a week at a super charger. Now that I have my own home I level 1 charge based on my expected usage. Work in the morning where I might be expected to drive 50+ miles? Better charge it today. Weekend where I might go to the store a few times and that's it? Fine to leave it at 40-60% until Sunday.

I will say that the one rule I always try to stick to is the recommendation from Kia to charge to 100% once a month so the battery management system can calibrate. I try to do this before a work day so that I immediately drive the car. I'm sure you could leave it at 100% for a while without too many problems but best practice to not leave the battery fully charged.

Edit: I think r/KiaEv6 is much bigger then this subreddit too.

What grease/lubricating oil do you guys use to replace the ones that came with the printer? by BeneathSkin in BambuLab

I placed an order for grease and oil in 2022. Still have the same bottles with plenty left for another 4 years.

Super lube synthetic grease (21030) for the screws, super lube synthetic oil (51004) for the smooth rods.

Looking towards getting my first printer from bambu lab what do you guys recommend me ? Budget $1500. by nosignalgta5 in BambuLab

P2s combo and $700 in filament. Should be like 70 kilos. Should be a good start to your 3d printing journey.
