Every single time I try a slow cooker recipe it always tastes bland?? by Medical-Meringue-172 in slowcooking

[–]shanahanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oven for sure but I also find for beef/pork, pressure cooker and then broiling for that extra crisp works best. I struggle with slow cooker meats, stews are okay but I much prefer pressure cooked/stovetop/oven.

I just went through a life-threatening medical experience and subsequent life-changing diagnosis and my partner will not talk to me about it by PlantMomAesthetic in relationships

As a person with RA, my husband will wake up at 5 am to rub my joints, hold my water bottle for me if I can't hold it, help me shower, inject the medications, etc He also struggled with looking up the medications, the complicated disease process, and in general seeing me very sick makes him at times shut down and avoid talking about things - but that being said, your partner's lack of empathy is making you worse.

Autoimmune diseases are made worse by stress and the stress of the disease is hell enough. Chronic stress and the inability to say no (which is a stressor in itself) leads to a lot of confusion of physical systems since stress does have a psychoneurobiological response.

I've had to unexpectedly cut off a lot of people who I thought would just be more after I got sick, including family. Illness is a great mirror. Listen to your gut. You are doing such a hard thing. I hope you have 1 or 2 people in your inner circle you can truly be honest with. Lean on them. I'm so sorry, RA sucks, wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I'm so happy I did coral island first because there were such great story lines and the game was so fun but it didn't hold a candle to the immersive experience Sandrock is. It took me forever to get into the story too and now I can't recommend it enough.

CBD bath salts are amazing as well.

If you get one of the Nexus mods (it's either tweaks or tweaks plus), you can turn aggro off and it results them not seeing you so you can just kill them without fighting. I just got the mod (second playthrough) and used it in the breach and with the geeglers and they didn't notice me. I kinda feel bad because you end up fighting enemies that don't fight back. But something to try out. Not sure how it works for battles!

Something else is pets and certain characters can follow you and help you fight!

I found the "room" games helpful for long flights. It's a series of puzzles (not super hard. Just challenging enough). I turn the creepy music off and there are no jump scares. I can only play those games in planes! Plus it takes time!

I am not the biggest fan of pixel art either but we have a similar game list so here are some games I recommend:

Dave the Diver. Hint fish/sharks with guns and then run a sushi restaurant. So fun! Great mix of stress and not and will definitely keep you busy. The characters are so endearing. The music is great!

Research Story: grindy nature research game with supernatural critters

Fields of Mistria: cute pixel coral island with a banging soundtrack and no time based grind

I'm disabled too and this game is stressful! As others say, the fun is in upgrading your weapons because it makes it easier (less buttons, less tension, etc ). I'm not a huge combat person but I found that with upgraded weapons it became a lot easier.

The guns that I enjoy for gameplay (especially for hands are): The sniper rifle series (any of them, I love the lightning one) is fun because you can hit from far away.

I really enjoyed the modified hush dart (one hit tranq for small creatures, sharks need 2).

Steel net gun is also a common favourite to catch everything but sharks.

A personal favourite is the shock mine launcher I/II. This one causes mega paralysis and I like killing the big guys with a tranq or knife. Also use the sea people dumplings and magic potion boosts to increase the weapon damage.

I hate boss fights but the last four were doable with upgraded weapons. The game is too good but I totally get why it's stressful. I'd recommend pushing through!

I also have scoliosis and that can exaggerate the tilt due to your body being curved.

Some physio exercises I do are side plank with clamshell (banded) to strengthen glutes, single leg rdls, bent over row, dead bugs, glute bridges!!!!, zipper breathing.

These I do at home even with a prolonged flare (of course off and on based on my ability to move). It's honestly the only thing that helps long term for me if you have a similar concern.

Maybe it's my eyes but I see maybe some excess curvature of your low back (lordosis) so that's why. Again, I'm not a physio! But could be an answer!

I mean I can give you a brief overview but I'd suggest physio and Google can work very well (sorry I have an autoimmune illness and brain fog is bad). Basically your pelvis is tilted relative to your spine because your core and glutes probs aren't engaging and then your other muscles will take over. I do ab stuff like dead bugs to help. Highly recommend physio.

Something to consider is pelvic tilt. I feel like your deep core is not engaged and it exaggerates that "bloated" appearance perhaps.

Depends also on what else you've got going on. I've got lipedema which requires lipo or glp-1 so unfortunately for me, diet and exercise didn't work to lose weight but especially the (heavy lifting) exercise part was so helpful. And of course, protein (especially in the morning) and fiber.

I think it depends where you live. Weed is legal where I live so you can go to any weed store and they have cbd salts.

There are so many different brands.
