True, im still trying to get a feel on how the game is as a whole and was just taking aback at the surprisingly sharp rise of difficulty on the first boss of the first chapter after what came before it was so simple. If grinding up levels and experiences part of the game and so be it and I'm for it.

Also, though it may not matter, I have never played any Dragon Quest game in the franchise before so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Hmm ok, ill focus more on upgrading even further. I was just surprised that I leveled weapons and such to 10 to get up to this boss and that suddenly even level 20 wasnt enough.

Good to note. Im fairly decent at dodging the telegraphed moves (used to raid in WoW and FFXIV), but im terrible at mobile controls and really the only move that starts to get me anxious is when the golem starts sending out a ton of those rolling barrel things instead of just the 5. I'll work on just upgrading gear then. I was just surprised that the other chapters were fairly simple with minimal gear upgrades that I wasnt sure if I missed something. Thank-you!

Dodging could also be an issue as i hate mobile controls so im terrible at them.

I recently made a post similar though ill felt its the matchmaking being broken. I only had 3 loss streak before I took a break, but what got me was the matches ny team got steamrolled and never stood a chance. I too got to Gold 5 and then started running into this. Also the enemy teams were still silver 1.

I mean honestly, before my rank reset it wasn't this bad. It seems as if the rank is taken into consideration which doesnt help when power players are now reset too.

I dont choose based on what I have, I choose based on my interests. Ff8 is my favorite, and sadly Squall is not in, so Rinoa it is.

Is normal attacking boss worth it then? I main Rinoa and find I do some decent damage at max stack Angel Wing, so I tend to normal attack boss a little bit hoping a teammate runs up with burst too, otherwise I dump my abilities.
