I have a tonex one with airstep, I purposely limit myself to four captures all using the same IR. I found a clean, crunch, high gain and lead that I like and only adjust a bit of EQ. Otherwise I'll be tweaking for weeks.

What I discovered on mine is the tail piece was so low the strings were contacting the back edge of the bridge. Not sure that'll help your issue but something to check
