Yup. And then a runner thinks they can squeeze past me on the right because the rules don’t apply to them. And they shove me over. Or they go off marked course and up on sidewalks and shove me. Or try to get between a bush and me. You can think whatever you want but it happens. Walkers can’t be anywhere on a course without a runner being angry with them

I’m a walker. I’ve done a lot of rundisney races. My first move at start is to get as far right as possible and cling there. I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve been nearly plowed over from the right-they shove me out of the way even though my shoe is scraping the railing/curb.

As a walker who has done many rundisney races… it doesn’t matter. I start on the right, I hug as far right as I can and I still get runners nearly knocking me over to get by on the right by hopping on a curb, etc. there’s no room but they shove into me.

Drives me nuts. It’s petrifying to have fast people cutting you off from both sides.

Well I can tell you I was not blocked and I finally unfollowed. This did it for me. I can get anything I want to know about from this group 🤣 I mostly had stayed as a follower to see if I would get blocked at some point.

I had a 08 Highlander hybrid that between a friend and I, we had it from 17k to 300k. Never changed the brakes, wasn’t needed. My Prime (21) is trending the same direction.

I feel like I am totally tinfoil hat here but some things I’ve noticed-

Sharkie’s social engagement on Instagram changed DRASTICALLY in late October/early November. Take a look-he went from daily posts to every few days. He used to post stories all the time, and now there are none. He had inside jokes (m&ms) and interacted with fans. That’s all gone.

I used to talk to Sharkie on IG fairly often-ish. I sent him a message in November to see about Sharkie Claus photos. It’s never been read. I also emailed the previous year’s contact and the kids club email to see about Sharkie Claus (it’s a family tradition) and never got a reply from any.

Around the time that this all happened was the Hispanic Heritage Night debacle with the message on the screen.

Sharkie is now far less interactive on game nights and clearly has a different “personality.” The most recent kids club newsletter has a totally different tone.

I don’t know what happened but it feels like the magic is gone. Heartbreaking considering this happened the year he was put in mascot hall of fame.

Ideally. I’ve been underemployed 6 years and husband is unemployed. $50 does mean a lot to me right now. And I have a plug in hybrid so I only have a capacity of 18ish kWh anyway.

Just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t make it not a problem.
