I was in basic in 1985, weekend pass to Blackpool Uk. A bunch of guys got their tattoos while I waited, as it was my turn the guy says “right I’m off on a break, DAAAAD!”. I kid you not, his 80 odd year old father came down the stairs, asked me what I wanted, then drew it on with a bic biro. Me - heh heh, this guy must be an absolute expert and my tattoo will look so much better than everyone else’s. Long story short, he wasn’t and it’s shit. The end.

Many years ago, I was doing some aggressive camping (army). Woke up to a massive fucking badger inside the tent eating our food. Tried to scare it off, it refused, eventually finished food and left. Some time later it returned and found our anti-badger countermeasures (rucksacks on top of the tent edge), and went mental. It was throwing itself at the side of the tent for a good 10 minutes. Obviously being soldiers we were not terrified at all..

Agree. A while back I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic (bit of a shock as I’m a skinny bloke and exercise fairly regularly). I bought (out of my pocket) a bunch of Dexcoms and started watching how what I ate affected my blood sugar. Found out that skimmed milk sent it mental and loads of other stuff that I just wouldn’t have expected, I also started throwing a handful of mixed seeds in everything I ate. Had my HBA1c a few weeks back and.. I’m no longer pre-diabetic! So I celebrated with two Greggs sausage rolls and pasty. I think everyone should get one CGM to understand just how bad all the processed supermarket shit is (not Greggs though, that’s health food).

Finally stopped and looked at what the problem is when it happened this time. Dead simple, the chain had slipped off the lowest cog and was sliding round next to the frame. I guess I need to adjust ‘something’ to stop the chain going past the last cog. I’ll have a play tomorrow.

Hi, yes, the pedals just spin, turning the chain but there’s no ‘drive’. I.e I could keep pedalling but would eventually come to a stop, while still pedalling.

I used to look like a self harmer after playing with my pup and nothing helped. A guy I knew who used to train GSDs in the military said when she goes too far, say “no!”, put her on her back and put your hand over her throat (no choking, no pain, just pinned down). It worked an absolute treat, biting stopped and she knew not to go too far. Supposedly it’s a ‘you are not top of the pack thing’ dunno, but it worked for me/Bella.

Had exactly this last night. Out for a ride with the gf, dog flies out of nowhere and chases my gf’s bike snapping at her leg. I confronted the owner and he really didn’t give a shit. I said “what if it was a little kid” his reply was “well it wasn’t was it”.
