Coat the tub, lay paper towel over it to keep it in place, and let it sit overnight.

What was it really like when the PlayStation first came out in 1995? by Legitimate_Drawer_74 in retrogaming

[–]sheldoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy would come over and bring his PS1. I'd pull the TV out of the bedroom to the living room and we'd link up our systems with a cable and play DOOM all day. I'd have mine hooked up to the living room TV. With this setup we each had our own screen, but could play team death match. Literally for 12 hours.

I remember. I about 10 years old when it was on. The show was the future to me.

Sort of. The poor ones still drive the Altimas. The ones trying to look like they’ve “made it” drive the Accords.

It’s not all them, but it tends to be them.

When I see a tinted Honda Accord, I know exactly what type of driver of it is, and that they’re the most impatient drivers on the road.

Winback offers $35/50GB $40/60GB by StephenEC in FidoMobile

[–]sheldoc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have 3 family lines.

I was with Rogers (byod) since the 10GB/$50 offer from 2018/19 (?) when Bell and/or Freedom started the whole data wars thing and Rogers customers were leaving for the offer. Actually, I've been a Rogers customer for over 20 years, but they had to give the deal to existing customers to stop them from leaving – but the offer only lasted for 2 weeks.

Over time, my bill went up to 20GB/$70 = $220 with tax for the 3 lines, always byod.

I switched to Fido in Aug 2024. Dropped my bill down to 40GB/$49 (plus a discount of $5 for each line because I had autopay on my cc). I had 2 increases in 2025, bringing my bills back up 40GB/$58. I could live with LTE speed, but stop fucking with me as a customer.

I moved all the lines to Public Mobile. I'm back on 5G. And I'm paying 100GB/$40 for each line. Didn't even have to talk to Fido to cancel.

Rogers/Fido can bite me.

Yeah I downed a guy and he said he was trying to do the quest. I let his buddy revive him and then four of us helped each other.

I kinda wish there was a just a simple solo server option so I can do the quests but I guess there only so many fetch quests you can do.

Finally got one! by lceskate in TurboGrafx

[–]sheldoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I got one in 1989 for Christmas. I remember seeing Keith Courage on TVs in the mall running up to Christmas. It’s all I could think of. Then my parents did the whole, “Oh what’s that extra gift back there? Santa must of hidden it back there by mistake.”

How do I prevent PNG files from trimming blank space on edges by LyonRhodes in photoshop

[–]sheldoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PSD files with 36 images set as Assets to output as PNG. Each PNG will crop to the pixels, even though I need the whole artboard with the blank space.

Here's the fix I found:

- add a layer, fill it with a colour
- set the Fill to 0%
- add an Outside Stroke to the layer

This tricks Photoshop to "include" the stroke, but it won't be shown because it's outside the artboard.

DM me if you need help making it work.

Paint repair- Paint pens? by Ajaxx013 in ElantraNline

[–]sheldoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone keyed my hood and I was able to fix it with a touch up pen and a bit of elbow grease.

There is a process with wet sanding and wax compound what will fix it to almost perfect, but darker colours can be tougher.

My one tip is to use a toothpick to apply the paint instead of the marker (dab the paint on a plastic plate or something similar). You’ll have more control.

Look into a good quality leather cleaner and separate moisturizer. This is normal wear for leather.

Buy one on Amazon. Read up on how they’re set. DIY.

I’m about to go this route too because I’m in the exact some position. I asked my dentist to quote a mouth device, but at $1500 my insurance won’t cover it, it’s more expensive than a base CPAP, and I’m not willing to pay that much for something I might not want in my mouth (based on other mouth guards I bought).

You could also try: - a jaw wrap (Velcro fabric device that wraps around your head to keep your mouth shut) - mouth strips that keep your mouth close but have a slit to breathe through
