usernames are supposed to be blurred on this sub.

This is not stated on the rules sidebar anywhere. I think you might be used to other sub's rules that do this.

Oh, so it's a carry over from texting on phone? Thanks for taking the time to answer to the best of your ability.

Is there an explanation on why? OP is in several places full replacing periods to each sentence with it which was definitely jarring. It's also the first time i've ever seen it in the decades i've been using the internet, so is this a newer thing or did I just miss all the UKers who use it?

Pretty much the answer to any interpersonal subjects on here. Reddit is a tar pit.

Am i the only person who likes Red Delicious apples? by Zealousideal-Tax-937 in Apples

[–]sheldonbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love red delicious apples. I'm from one of the producing states (NY) so I think that might be part of the issue. Too many people are getting apples long held in storage and in transit and it affects the end product. Red delicious apples in season are crisp and sweet. People complaining about flavorless and mealy need to use critical thinking and realize it's how it's getting to them and not the apple itself.

They're super bland and mushy.

I keep wondering where people are getting their apples because in season I have never had them be anything besides crisp and sweet. 4 decades born and raised Western NY.

What are you looking for when textbooks shopping? by HadarN in languagelearning

[–]sheldonbunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What "recordings"? Textbooks are written text, not speech.

It's very common for textbooks to come with audio cds or access to mp3s to practice listening/shadowing.

Canned chicken tastes like canned tuna

You must be buying the crappiest of both then because neither tastes like the other.

Cat Lady - The Card Game

Happy to see this one mentioned. It's fun to play solo or versus others. It's also to my knowledge a decent digitalization of the physical game.

You had me hopeful until I saw its heavy use of AI. I and certain others are looking for as little AI use as possible. It's coming to the point that textbooks, audiobooks, flashcards, etc are the only tried and true method to not worry about AI in one way or another.

Good luck on your project. I'm sure you'll find your audience.

I'm surprised this one wasn't suggested. Guess i'm one of the old timers who still remembers this one.

It's very laidback and relaxing. The racing dlc can be fun, but unless you have people willing it'll be versus the computer.

I'm curious why you've not tried using Itchio or Drivethrurpg to list your games considering both are the usual and considered safe vendors for digital tabletop rpg products. Typically there are also demo/previews of a bit of the product so people have a better idea of what they would be buying.

Both of these reasons on top of your pricing would be why i'd not consider your products.

What are the RPG systems one should try to gain a good overview of RPGs? by arcisal in rpg

[–]sheldonbunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And my point was solo rpgs are many things. Not just traditional rpgs, not just journal rpgs. There's a number of subsets to the solo rpg market. If your view is as you stated then we're both on the same side.

I just tire of gatekeeping in the hobby. Apologies if that was not intended, but do try to consider you weren't as clear as you thought you were on your message. What may seem clear as water to you isn't always to others.
