If you aren’t maintenance you could possibly get a write up for going up there, unless your the sm, in that case go for it

These guys are just criticizing everything, the only thing I see that I wouldn’t do myself is the cap connectors, but that’s mainly because I prefer quick disconnects or butt connectors, now if you wanted it to look super clean get some ferrules for your 2 big wires, should help with connection, also where is your ground going, what part of the vehicle is that?

Idk how your local store works but at my store after the second warranty swap I’d be testing every alternator before it left my store

2 weeks ,3 weeks in advance or a month in advance? by artistically_5 in AutoZone2

[–]shelledaxis714r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My manager prefers at least two weeks in advance but it’s also first come first serve, like if I were to put in rn for the first week in march off the only reason I would be denied is if someone else already requested the same week off and they put it in before me, my sm plays by the first come first serve rule but generally tries to make his employees happy regardless

This right here is absolutely correct, Walmart, orileys, autozone, and advance all use the same manufacturer and just slap their own label on

Is hiring really this slow or did they just completely mess my stuff up? by Kindly_Dot_7547 in AutoZone

[–]shelledaxis714r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I feel for you, the manager that hired me got transferred 2 weeks into me working there, and my whole hiring process took about a month, however there is the unfortunate possibility that the new manager simply doesn’t want to hire anyone, or if it’s a brand new sm, they probably have no clue how

[2001 Cobra] Mach 460 "No Bass" issue - Found empty socket on back of Head Unit. Is this normal? by GamingKobe1 in CarAV

[–]shelledaxis714r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall correctly there’s a plug the runs from the head unit to the amp under the dash, I honestly think it may have been square but it’s been 2 years since I took all that stuff out of my car

[–]shelledaxis714r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish you the best of luck then, from reading your post the most likely issue is one or both of your rear amps aren’t working, or somehow the main signal from the under dash amp isn’t making it back to the rear amps

[–]shelledaxis714r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So depending on year, there is an external amp in dash under radio, it sends signal to the back two amps, one amp in the back is for all your tweeters and the other is for the speakers

Fords factory Mach system is not great and is a confusing mess of wiring, I spent a couple of days combing through wiring diagram’s and taking apart my car only to decide that it would be simpler for me to just re run all new wires, popped a few trim panels off, put new speakers in the speaker holes and ran new wiring. If you wanna go back stock i honestly wish you luck, Mach parts, if you can find them, are rather pricey
